This is merely an introduction to this last chapter, reviewing both the key vocabulary and practicing what I believe to be the key expressions. I find this last chapter difficult.

Using the different 'land' theme from the dreams/book.

Show Neverland ppt. Then, facilitate group conversation about other stories/movies that are set in another land. For example: Alice in Wonderland, Wizard of Oz, Harry Potter etc.

Project: create your own 'land'. Create theme, characters etc.

Speaking activity: Explain your 'land' to other groups/teams.

Here is a simple presentation PPT I made for the first period.

Key expressions:
Aren't you [cold, hungry, tired, sleepy, bored, busy, interested, scared]?

day 1 materials,
i made a few changes to the intro PPT that was already posted, and included a taboo like activity. my usually apathetic students really enjoyed acting out the emotions, but found it difficult to understand "embarrassed, and confused" so my co-teacher had to spend sometime explaining those.

I've taken that "Aren't You"  .ppt from above (thanks to the original poster) and added many more feelings.  The last slide has a list of all of the feelings that the students and teacher can reference for a game of charades.

Also for the first period, we played a clapping game.

We used 4 expressions at a time, each expression corresponds to an action.

When I say the expression, they have to do the correct action.

We had two groups compete with each other at a time (tournament style Group 1 v. 7, then 2 v. 6, etc. Then the winners of each "round" competed against each other). The group that did the correct action the fastest got points.

This is a short, thought-provoking song from The Whitest Kids You Know (WKUK). Is this appropriate? What do you all think?

It's titled, "Aren't You Lucky."

Here is a brief "cultural education" PPT about ice festivals and sculptures, with a short video of ichainsaw ice sculptors at work.

I have also used livingincolour's PPT (Thanks!) on Neverland and added a few more examples.
