First I'm gonna use this 'how are you doing' ppt. I used it last year, downloaded from Waygook (so not taking any credit for it, if anybody sees it and it is theirs, let me know and I'll be happy to edit this post). It will basically do the most basic topic of 'how are you' and then elicit various positive, neutral and negative answers.

Then I'm gonna go onto pyeager's ppt and go through his dialogues to introduce the 'are you happy with...' part.

After that, I'll use the Lucky Wheel game (again, I just edited the images and text, cant remember who uploaded the template). Basically, there are 'how do you feel about...' questions with pictures. They have to complete the question and then give an answer. If they give a reason behind their answer, they can get double points, or, if they spin for negative points, they only lose half of the points they should.

Not much, but hope it helps some people.

Also gonna use some time to introduce myself to them for the first time and let them ask me any questions they have.

Here is my first class for this lesson (#1 "Everything is New). Most of it is borrowed & altered :) Thanks! Just ignore the rules (i start the beginning of the year out with 5 rules for class and have them memorize) and we also start every lesson with slang / idiom / tongue twisters. I have them watch the Friends video of Joey saying "how you doing" to get them brainstorming ways to say "How are you doing" (formal vs. informal) & to wake them up. Then have two students stand up and read conversation bubbles, "How are you Pucca" slides as whole group, then candy/stamp to first one with hand up for second part, then sentence making in small groups with the pictures to guide them, then partner practice. 

I posted a ven diagram for the kids to write and present what is diffrent and what is the same about elementary school and middleschool. Enjoy!

I realize this post was a couple years ago, but it's worth a shot. I'm wondering how this powerpoint game should work, exactly. Is it supposed to spin? It's a great setup and I want to use it, but I'm either missing something or the spinner isn't working.
