Hey y'all,

I'm running out of time this semester before finals so this is combined lesson for parts 1 and 2 of lesson 5.

The first part has a story about my dog and I... I suggest you delete that, or replace it with your own pet story.

For part 1 I'm only intending to do the 2nd dialogue.

In part 2, I'm intending to do both listening dialogues.

This is what i did for week one of lesson 5. We didn't get to the second speaking point (I agree/disagree) because of all the time i have to spend on introducing a slang, idiom & tongue twister every lesson :( Anyway, this whole lesson is just parts borrowed from other lessons and posters. So- thanks!!!!

Hey

I'm uploading a Game for Lesson 5 Listening & Speak 1. I teach one chapter in two parts, over two weeks.

It's an Advice Guessing Game.
1. The students split into teams. Each team gets a whiteboard, marker and eraser.
2. The student should complete the advice with "You should... + [verb]".
3. Correct answers get points
4. The first three slides of the game the students have to choose one of the three verbs. Afterward it gets a bit harder because the students have to guess commonly used/correct verb.

I hope it helps someone. ;D

EDIT: I realized there were mistakes with my PowerPoint, I fixed them. *I also uploaded my PowerPoint for Lesson 5 Listen & Speak 2.

I know some of you may not have access to the teacher's book and/or CD's, so I thought I would share the unit plan that is provided in them! It has been a great starting place for me and I hope this, along with the other supplemental material provided, will make lesson planning that much easier for you!
