This lesson was a success at my school.

I've used some slides from other PPTs posted on Waygook. Thank you to its original creators.

Oops! Forgot to mention which grade it is for!
This is for grade 2 Lesson 10. Let's draw our future

It is about inventions and how to use the expressions "will be able to" and "that's impossible!"

I'm really struggling to come up with anything for the second part of Grade 3 Lesson 11. I have been given one extremely dry phrase to work with for 2 lessons.....Sounds interesting/terrible. I covered environmental issues using the phrase in the first lesson.....but this is not exactly a phrase that requires two full lessons devoted to it..... :(

I'm struggling too!! I don't like this chapter very much, but I think I came up with something so I figured I would share my idea with you :) I just taught them "It's my job to..." this week so next week I will start the class with 5 minutes of review asking them to tell me what their job is on Earth in regards to the theme of the chapter (which we haven't gone over yet in my class....their korean teacher started teaching them the theme portion already so I can't spend too much time on it).  After, I want to do a survey about living green which I found online and just made my own version that suites my students' levels.  I think they will have fun doing it because in the end when they add up their scores they will see how many Earths they will need if they continue to live like they are now.  That will probably take 10-15 minutes to go through and explain each question and get the answers.  Next, I planned to introduce the next phrase "My friend told me that..." and the answer "Sound interesting/terrible/cool..." and so on.  I just searched google for really hilarious photos that I could make a story out of and will use them to introduce the phrases. Introducing will take around 5-1 minutes. Finally, I will have two photos up that I will expect them to write their own conversation for. First they have to look at the picture and think of a story (one sentence) to go along with it and then they have to write out the sentence as well as the response.  I have an elephant stuck up in a tree and I'm hoping they will write something like, "My friend told me that elephant's can climb trees." "Really? Sounds interesting."  That will also take about 10 minutes (5 to let them write and 5 to let a few of them share their conversations). This will work out to around 40 minutes so if you want to throw some kind of warm up for 5 minutes in the beginning or a tongue twister at the end then you should be set for 45 minutes! I haven't tried it out yet so I have no idea how it will work, but that's my plan at the moment:) Let me know if you think of anything good as well!!!

Here is the Spongebob review game for units 10, 11, and 12 of Middle School grade 2. I modified most of the questions, since my students are pretty low level. Thanks to the original poster and creator (Kyle Ludeke?)!

Here is my lesson plan for grade 1 - lesson 11.  Its very basic, but there wasn't a lot to go on so I'm just threw together a game to practice forming and speaking some of the key phrases.

The introductory PowerPoint is very brief, and I take about 10 minutes going through the slides and having the students practice.

For the game one student at a time from each team comes to the board to write (the rules are included in the PowerPoint).  They answer the question by being the fasted to unscramble and write the sentence on the board.  The 2 rounds of the game should take up the rest of the class if you have them practice the phrases once after each round.  If you need to fill more time you can score the rounds by who has the most points rather than who connects their side first.

Here is my plan for grade 2 - lesson 12.  Its the same general setup as the previous post.  I start with a short overview and practice of the material then play a game for the rest of the time.

For this I split my classes into groups of about 5-6 and had them write the answers on personal whiteboards.  However, if you don't have access to this you could instead split the class into two teams and have students take turns writing on the board.  Either way the fastest to unscramble the sentence wins.

Grade 1 Lesson 12

Drawing game practicing the phrase "Let me..." I have them make groups of 6 and then 2 teams of 3 within their group of 6. 2 students on each team (4 students out of the 6) put their heads down while I show the remaining 2 students (the ones who are drawing) the slide. Then I say "heads up" and they start drawing. The first team of the 2 teams in their group to guess the sentence gets a point. The team with the most points at the end is the winner.

Grade 3 Lesson 10:  Shopping

Sorry for being so late, but here's my lesson from my open class.

1.  Talk about shopping and stores
2. Activity:  Guessing Game:  Divide class into groups.  Show an item and the groups must guess the price of the item.  The team closest to the actual price is the winner.
3.  Shopping game: students must walk around and buy different items at 4 stores (item cards attached)
     1.  Talk about 4 stores and items they sell
     2.  Dialogue between staff and customers
     3.   Money card:  Use like a debit card:  Customers buy an item, and staff members give them an item card and mark the customers' money cards.
    4.  Choose 8 students to be staff members (2 for each store; 1 person will be in charge of giving item cards, and the other is in charge of marking the money cards) and place the staff  at each corner of the room.  Give the staff item cards for their store.
    5.  Give the remaining students (customers) a money card.  Customers must try and buy as many items as possible.
4.  After about 10-15 minutes, finish the shopping game and have all the customers sit down and count their cards.
5.  Good Items/ Bad Items Game:  Tell students they bought good items and bad items.  The customers are rewarded or penalized for their purchases.

Hi Everyone! I just wanted to thank everyone for posting and making this textbook a little easier to work with. As we near finals and winter vacation, hopefully the next few weeks won't be too stressful.
Good Luck!

My school has started teaching a book, which students will be tested on.

The book is: "The Secret Garden" by Frances Burnett, adapted by Happy House.

This is to prepare grade 2 students for grade 3 next year.
My school is only teaching chapter 2 of the book.

Attached are my comprehension questions & answers.

G2
L10-12

This is a quick Minesweeper game (game courtesy of Rufus) to review lessons 10 through 12 a bit. This is by no means meant to serve as a complete review of the topics found therein.

Note: For slide 6, the students need to insert the proper possessive pronoun.

I hope someone else finds this helpful. Cheers.
