Listen and Speak 1 and 2
Covers the key sentences "My favourite _____ is ____." and "Who is ____"

I made this game for the 1st part of the lesson:

Using this expression
Q: What's your favorite (A) _____?
A: My favorite (A) _____ is (B) _____.

ROUND 1:

*this is supposed to be a warm up activity right before using the 'favorites expression' portion*

1. I split the class into 5 teams.
2. Each team receives a specific topic: Food, Color, Animal, Sports, School Subjects
3. The teams then have 4-5 minutes (depending on their level) to compile a list of these topics
4. After the time is up, I ask one member from each team to come up to the front and they have 45 seconds-1 minute (choose according to their levels) to write their list down on the board. 
5. The list with the most items AND correct spelling is the winner.

ROUND 2:
1. Using the same topics they used to compile their lists, number the topics 1-5
2. Then, number each student in the the groups from 1-5
3.  When you call that child's number they'll come up to the front, and make a line parallel to the board, with the kids facing the board.
4. When the teacher say, "What's your favorite ____?" the kids will race to the board and answer in a complete sentence: "my favorite ____ is ____.
5. The 1st one finished will get a point.

The kids really liked this activity and they became hyper competitive, even the lower level classes that don't like to participate.  Also this gave more opportunities to the students that don't like to speak out as much.  There are no worksheets to prepare, just using the board. 

**Instead of numbering the topics you can also just make a sheet with the topics, cut out the topics and give one each to the students, it's a little more preparation, but there's also less explaining**

This is my lesson to cover "Play with Grammar" on page 50. The lesson is practice using "Do" and its forms.


Part 1
Explain grammar. I used THIS VIDEO for inspiration.
Ask S's to complete the table (with which subjects to use where) on their paper as you make yours on the board.

Provide examples and ask students how to respond.


Part 2
Check S's understanding of the ways "Do" changes with questions. S's should work alone.
Check correct responses together and go back over grammar if their are any difficulties understanding.


Part 3
S's may work with a partner to provide a question and answer based on the pictures given on the worksheet.
Go over some answers together.


Part 4
Four Corners game.
Give students a question: "What food do you like? Do you like pizza, do you like 불고기, do you like pasta, or do you like "떡볶이?" Point to corners of the classroom when asking the question. Students should move to the corner corresponding to their preference.

Still in corners. ask S's to make a sentence about one of the S's' choice. For example, ask, "Tell me something about 은비." Students can try to respond with, "She doesn't like pizza. / She doesn't like pasta." etc etc.

Give another question, allow students to move to different corners, and ask the class to tell you about another student.

Repeat as many times as you would like.
