These power point presentations are a mix of those who have posted on here. Thank you so much to those who have posted their lessons! I cannot take credit for any of this - I only added/fixed a few things here and there. I am still working on learning powerpoint in Korean. I am slowly figuring things out :)

Just thought I would share what I have recreated from other members.

I love this site and all the information and suggestions everyone shares! I would be so lost without it.

2 sided worksheet/conversation guide for Grade 1, Lesson 8 practicing "Can you..." and "I was VERB+ing."

On the last section, one person must be a teacher. They ask you a question, you ask them. Teachers sign the paper in a colored marker, which acts as a ticket for them to leave when the bell rings. Basically, they can't leave until they talk to a teacher.

This is super simple, easy structure, and kids were talking in English about 75% of the class period. I make everybody get up and ask different people. They can't talk to the people beside, in front of, or behind them.

Also, why can't Korean kids snap their fingers? I was the only one in the class who could do it.

Review Lesson for Grade 2 Lesson 8

Here is my prezi. It can be used as the main lesson or a review lesson.
http://prezi.com/hu-b8lbdalhq/g2l8-whats-inside-your-planner/

Attached is a map and set of situations I gave to my students. Students basically have a date with some K-Pop singer, so they have to take them around town. The Prezi that I made also shows some slides that is related to the worksheet, so you should go through the questions on the worksheet and the last part of the Prezi at the same time (I.E. Question number 1 talks about going to VIPS, and the Prezi zooms in on VIPS on the map.

You'll have to write in the time it takes to travel in between each street and then make a copy of that for the students' reference. I don't have a scanner, so I couldn't include that map.

I got this jeopardy template during my student teaching in the U.S.A. It's a great template.  The first category has questions about my school so YOU would need to change those questions.  In grade 2 there are some questions using my name and other teachers' name from my school.

@machoman

I teach one expression each week. I expand the expression and make it engaging. My general pattern is:

1. hangman, introduce the expression with my own flare
2. explain it, give examples : KET should help explain grammar
3. give students a handout to practice (I make my own each week and I try to change the format. sometimes crosswords, fill in the blank, etc. change is good)
4. make a ppt that matches the handout, students read the individual answers
5. ppt game: angry birds is the rave right now with my students
Your work is f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s! Thank you renard.tami for sharing.

so as midterms r coming up i thought i would post my ideas for review classes as they have worked well with every class i have used them with over the last 2 years
1. This is simple one. Based on the TV program 15-1. Quickly review the target language from each lesson and then have the students make 10 questions some based on the textbook others just based on general knowledge (makes it more interesting). Each team is given 3 lives. 1 team at a time picks another team and asks them a question. If the answer is correct the next team asks a different team a question. If they answer wrong they lose a point n the team asking the question asks a different team
2Based on the board game risk.  Before class I draw a map of the world on the board.  I then put the students in 3 teams.  Each team picks a country one by one until all the countries are chosen.  Each team has 7-8 countries.  Then one team chooses a neighbouring country to attack. One student comes to the front n picks a normal card which is face down.  The card is just a standard card heart, clubs, diamonds, spades.  The suit n number relates to a question. For example heart is lesson 7 club lesson 8 diamond lesson 9 spade general knowledge. I also make face cards wild cards king you win ace you lose. If the team answers correctly they get 2 dice if not just one dice.  One student then roles the dice.  The defending team then roles a dice n the team with the highest combined total wins.  Attacking team wins they get the country defending team wins nothing happens.  Then it’s the next teams turn. Team with the most countries is the winner.

3 Battleships: Draw 2grids on the board. Make a simple ppt about 50 slides long. Split the class into 2teams.  One team answers a question they get it right they can pick a square.  If they hit a ship they get another go if they miss it’s the other teams go. They have to find 5 ships all different sizes.

4 Bingo. . Make 6 questions related to the textbook all of them should be questions with multiple answers not just yes/no. Then make a bingo grid with 6 squares and put an answer to one of the questions in each grid.  So to get bingo the students will have needed to hear all 6 questions.  Put 3 bingo grids on 1 piece of paper. Make them all a little different.  Then put student names/numbers in a cup have 1 student pick a number.  That student stands up asks the teacher 1 of the 6 questions.  The teacher then answers and the students mark the answer.  The student then picks another number and that student asks a question  Do this 4/5 times.  Then have the student who picked the last number answer the question instead of the teacher.  This is very important as students realises their friends can affect the answer.

Grade 3.8 Mario Review Game

This was already posted by another uploader, but I wanted to submit this modified version. This game covers the phrases and concepts covered in the Lesson 8 "Sustainable Lifestyle" Chapter. I have changed some of the questions and formatting issues and also added some of my own Kpop Music Surprises (a part of the song plays and they have to tell you the Singer and song name in English).

This has been a big hit with my kids! It only takes about 15 minutes though so have something prepared for before.

Have fun!

1st Graders Speak Out Lesson 9

The Jist (also explained in the powerpoint):

This powerpoint has a different KPOP song on each slide. There are also letters in green boxes. If you click on the boxes, names of KPOP bands appear. If they get the band that matches the song, then they can get points. But really, change it up to how you like doing things, the cool thing about this powerpoint is that it has the clips of the songs and the animations.

My friend gave me this powerpoint, and she may have gotten it from waygook, idk. But I took it and changed it so it pertains to what we're teaching. Also, it use to be for elementary school kids, so it used to be all cutesy with a puppy dog and pink, but I kinda hipstered it out a bit. A lot a bit.

Here is the answer key, for those of you who don't know KPOP (like myself):

1. 2NE1 - I am the best
2. 2PM - Hands up
3. 4Minute - Heart to Heart
4. 10CM - Americano
5. BoA - Hurricane Venus
6. f(x) - Hot Summer
7. IU - Good Day
8. Miss A - Bad Girl, Good Girl
9. Secret - Starlight, Moonlight
10. SHINee - Hello
11. Sistar19 - Ma Boy
12. Super Junior - Mr. Simple
13. T-ara - Roly Poly
14. B2ST - On Rainy Days
15. Wonder Girls - Nobody

4 lessons out of each chapter?? It's hard enough to come up with ONE! Well if you can make lessons out of sections other than 'speak out', it's possible, but if it's based on the speak out sections...good luck...

I have used the last 2 prezi's u have done and they have gone down really really well. keep up the good work. Even started using your design for my first graders and its is going well with them too.

Grade 3 - Midterm Review (Lessons 7-9)

This took me a long time to put together so I hope you enjoy it. I modified the classic "Bomb" Template to have Letters/Numbers now to be a bit easier. There are 30 questions and 10 Music Surprises (my students love these).  ;D

Questions are from all 3 chapters and consist of phrases, readings, etc.

Have fun!

P.S. - The game only takes about 15-20mins so have something prepared beforehand.

My Sonic review game for Grade two Lesson 7- 8 (my grade 2's are not being tested on chapter 9 yet). A few of my questions are Canada specific (I taught a Canada lesson), so please change those. (all credit goes to Daejeon for creating this game).

Edit: two sill typos, sorry. Slide 11 should read 가로질러 not 거로질러. Also, Slide 42 should read 'soft drinks are bad for our teeth' not 'bad for our health.' I am re-uploading, but edit accordingly

My Starcraft review game for Grade 3 Lesson 7-8-9. Keep in mind that there are some Canadian specific questions because of a Canadian lesson I taught. (all credit goes to Daejeon for creating this game).

*Edit* I noticed that Slide 20 was missing a question, so I edited and re-uploaded my review.

Here is my review game for grade 2 lessons 6-8. I used one of the reviews posted for lessons 4-6 and just changed the lesson 4 and 5 questions. Some of the questions are specific to the exam so you might want to change those.
