A bomb game with random questions. Also I have told my students about "compound words" so there are a few slides of that in there too. The main focus is "want to" and heroes. I have been told to teach lesson 7 in the two weeks after exams and before summer vacation. This is what I have come up with since there is no way the students will want to study anything.

This is really just a warm up/filler activity which should take 7-8 minutes to do.
In the PPT I have written "How many times do you see 'Let It Be?'" - the trick is that the video opens with an introductory 'Let It Be' as the song begins. So, the answer is 42 (41 in the song plus 1 at the start).

After trialling a couple of times I realised the best way to check answers is to get students to write the answer in their books. Then ask "Who wrote 40/41?" More than one student should get 42, so I got them to stand up and asked them a tie-breaker, to see who gets a prize (I usually have a collection of stickers but you could use candy). The tie-breaker is "Where were the Beatles born?" - Answer - Liverpool. This might seem a little tricky but it's my hometown and my kids have been told this numerous times. You could ask for more Beatles songs maybe.
