I've made this PPT to use during lesson 8 (after Warm Up and Listen & Speak 1). In groups, students simply unscramble the sentences - first correct sentence gets a point. I have access to mini-whiteboards and have groups of 4 students (32-36 per class).

It's for next week so haven't used it yet. Also, the beginning of the PPT is a separate part of the lesson I just wanted it all on the same PPT.

Here are a couple of simple practice ideas to supplement the book exercises and ppts.

I have the students work in pairs to connect the sentences. Then they turn the paper over and try to remember the sentence as they write it the meaning in Korean. Multiple answers are possible.

With the cut-up sentences, I laminate them and give a set to each group of 3-5 students. Maybe multiple answers are possible.

I usually cover the Listen & Speak sections from the textbook, but those audio dialogs tend to be pretty brutal and boring; the kids know it, the KTs know it, and I certainly know it.

I tried an experiment, swapping out the standard L&S drivel for a short story.  I recorded the audio myself, though the story was originally found on the big thread for this textbook, courtesy of codetornado.  I made a massive overhaul of the story, changed the wording a bit, and created a lot of animations.  The audio is synced with the PPT, so just let it fly.

Afterwards, I followed codetornado's idea and had the students answer some questions about the story, and then do an activity where they use the key expressions to find out the rules and the # of animals at the zoo. 

Overall the lesson went really well.  I provided all of the audio files for the story; save them in the same directory as the PPT and it should work fine.  If you want to re-record it yourself, or fiddle with the animations, by all means go ahead.  But author's warning, it takes a long time to get all of that done.  FYI I'm using a bad English accent on the story, to disguise my voice and give the kids practice listening to different accents...it didn't work, of course.  They knew it was me.
