This won't help, but the boy who played Billy Elliot in the Korean production of the musical goes to my middle school.  I know, not useful, but I thought it was interesting.

I showed clips from the first part of the movie to my low-level high school  second graders.  This is the follow-up assignment.  They have to match the caption with the pictures and put the scenes and captions in chronological order.

Whoops!  Here's the other part:

perhaps they are obvious to some, but what are the answers to the sequencing? and where did you get the clips from the movie?

If you watch the movie,  it should be obvious what the sequence is,  but since I had a moment, I made answer sheets for you (I numbered both the sheet with the pictures and the captions)  If you have a computer and LCD, I recommend downloading utorrent or Vuze,  and then you can download the movie as a torrent file  (Sure, it's illegal, but no one cares at my school).

ah, thanks. i never saw the movie and i'm not allowed to show entire movies in class so i probably won't have time to sift through it for select clips. the answer key is appreciated, though.

i used your photos and went all out with a powerpoint:
-brief background--movie and musical
-key words
-character basic facts
-plotline overview--there are blanks so the students can predict the answer by looking at the picture
-typhoon review

hopefully this is useful to someone.

I did this lesson to showcase stereotypes about people, mainly those we have about men and women. I used some of the powerpoint slides already on here, so thanks very much for all the great work :)
The students seemed to like the dancing clip I used from youtube in the introduction of the lesson, although I have no idea why they are talking in Spanish at the beginning.... See attached powerpoint and lesson plan.

I will be showing the movie to my class next week, but I am worried about the swearing in the movie. A number of F bombs in this movie. I don't want to encourage use of the F word but would showing this film encourage them to use it more often? >.<

Any thoughts or suggestions?

If you are savy with video editing, you can always mute the bad parts. Personally, I think this movie is too bad to be shown to middle schoolers. I addressed my Korean teacher about some controversal scenes but she told me to play it for them anyways.

It's rated "12 and up" in Korea, so it shouldn't be an issue to show.

If your knickers are really in a knot about the movie though, there's the "PG" version (also referenced as "cut video") that should eliminate any wayward naughty words.

Searched for PG re-cut version and it doesn't seem to exist ... as a torrent file at any rate =P Thanks for all the suggestions.

I found a youtube channel that plays clips of the movies, and it pretty much tells the story.

Here's the channel - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL63734261305C0452
