Grade 3 Lesson 3 part A (Warm up & listen and speak 1)
The dialog in the listen and speak section was quite awkward I thought, and not very useful(my students are low level, so far too much fluff and filler, like most dialogs in this god awful book). I tried to direct the flow of the lesson towards giving opinions in general. There is a battleship game in here for this lesson too. Students give opinions to each other about movie genres and use the phrase "Don't you think so?"
Movie genre and adjectives replace the co-ordinates in the game. Massive thanks to the person who created the battleship template, and also to whoever originally made the 'At the Movies' PPT which I used as a base for the main PPT.

Here is Grade 3 Lesson 3 Part C. For this lesson I just decided to use an idea from earlier in this topic, Movie Pictionary.
I turn off the screen and then ask one student to come to the front. The student can see the picture and the name and must draw a picture on the board. The rest of the class must guess. Then they guess the genre and then tell a bit of the story for additional points.
After that, we go over some basic movies dialogue that I borrowed from the great "At the Movies" PPT that is somewhere on Waygook, and then play a bomb game. The low level kids loved this lesson.

Here is a Basic mid-term review PPT for Grade 3, along with a Minecraft game. The credit goes to the creators in the thread below: Mimi31k and M.S.Jenkins.

This is a repost of my previously uploaded lessons, as those have been moved to the Grade Two Lesson 3 topic.
For Grade Three Lesson 3A: prezi link:
http://prezi.com/loudff5udfni/grade-three-lesson-3a-laughs-tears-and-more/
(stolen and modified from a previous uploader)
Fore Grade Three Lesson 3B: Make sure that the 2 videos are in the same folder as the ppt file, otherwise they won't work. Some of my students thought it was really neat that a movie trailer could be recut to change the movie's genre, others really weren't impressed. Anyway, it is the Exorcist, so maybe run it by your coteacher if you think it may not be appropriate. (My middle school girls survived.)
