High school minimal pairs: listening and spelling
« on: July 03, 2008, 09:39:52 am »
My high school students have terrible spelling, which is often humorous. We did a superlatives exercise through taking a survey about movies.. who is the best actor, what is the scariest movie, etc. Problem was, they can't spell Names or movie titles, not even "Brad-uh Pitt-uh". So I made up a listening activity where I read a sentence and they must spell it properly. Then we did the old what's your cell number, minimal pair activity. I'll attach the movie survey as well.

Cheers,
