I've been showing my 3rd graders Ant-Man and they love it. I managed to find subs for Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey but the timing is way off so I'm syncing it line by line... super tedious. When I finish, if I can find a way to hardcode it and share I will.

Thinking about showing Jingle All the Way for December. I'm 95% sure they would love it.

Oh, and I found Mrs. Doubtfire if anyone wants it: http://blog.naver.com/worldkorea9811/220539664943

Mad Max: Fury Road is good for a Boys Middle School. The students had to come in for Graduation Week and had absolutely zero motivation to do anything. None of them fell asleep while watching it, and I have 30 students in each class! It's not that violent a movie, to be honest. Just very intense!

Use VLC media player. Just press the H or G keys on your keyboard to increase or decrease subtitle delay.

All girls middle school - highly recommend Princess Diaries. They loved it.

All boys middle school (could def work for girls too!) - Dr. Who (realize it isn't a movie but its long so two episodes could work as a movie length)

first episode of season 5 (popular season):

If you want an easy place to find newer kid movies, Netflix has a good selection in their kids section. And now that it is Korea there are Korean subs for everything on there. Not free, but easy!

I showed Spirited Away this week with all of my middle school classes (1st-3rd grade). they are all mixed-gender classes.

it seemed to go down an absolute storm with all grade levels, both boys and girls as well. i hadn't seen it for ages and it's one of my favourite movies too, so it was personally nice to see it again as well  8)

I know this is a little late in the game - but where were you able to obtain a copy of Spirited Away? Were you able to get Korean subtitles online that replaced the subtitles the film might've already come with? Just curious. Thanks!
