Nought fancy - a template for Sleeping Elephants that I done gone made. It's a pretty popular game from what I can tell, but I wanted to spice up the game PPT before using it myself. Here's the end result.
Instructions on how to play and an example round are included in the PPT.
Copy & Paste the game slides to add more content.
Instructions for those who've never played before:
Split Ss into teams of 4. If the number of students isn't divisible by 4, then either assign a S multiple 'elephants' ( e.g. 1 student = elephant 1 & 2, for a particular team) or let Ss share being an elephant (e.g. 2 students = elephant 4, for a particular team).
Students then take turns to read word(s) on the board and then work together to form a complete phrase/sentence/expression.
I usually explain the following scoring system:
0 pts - incorrect word order, or words missing.
1 pts - spelling errors.
2 pts - punctuation errors.
3 pts - perfect.
An example round is included in the PPT to help explain the idea to the Ss. Any questions then feel free to ask!
