hi, Im sorry I dont have pen pals this year to give you, but I wanted to give you an idea for your class that worked really well for me last year.

Get in contact with your old elementary- middle school and see if their Grade 7 or 8 class is interested in participating in a cultural letter exchange.

I had a class of 28 students in my after school class (Grades 1-3) and they loved the pen pal program. We sent two letters by snail mail. My students got really excited when they received their letters from Canada.

Doing a letter exchange program abroad makes a more interesting option!

we also did video exchanges and my students really enjoyed this, too!

I just sent a note to the middle school I attended, asking for pen-pals! When I was there we wrote to students in Germany, so I'm hoping my students and I now can write to the US.
