This is my family dice game
Print out the cards from the word document and cut them out (I suggest gluing the paper on hard cardboard). Students are divided into teams of 4. Each student will get 1 game card and 6 markers/counters. Each team will get one die(dice).
How you play the game:
Students will rock-off (rock, paper, scissors) to see who will go first.
The students take turns in rolling the die. The numbers on the dice correspond to the boxes on the game card. E.g. 1 = Father, 2 = Mother etc.
After rolling the dice, the student places a marker on the matching box and says "He is my ...." or "She is my ..."
The aim of the game is to fill your entire game card with markers. However if a student rolled a number for which they already have a marker; they must then remove that marker.
Once a student has all 6 boxes they shout "This is my family!" and they get a reward.
You are free to customise the game card. I chose to design it that way to save resources. For my counters, I simply cut out circles of coloured paper.
