Ideas for Winter Camp 6th Grade Grammar Course?
« on: December 05, 2013, 11:59:07 AM »
Hey, all!

I've been teaching in Korea for about two months now. My co teacher asked me to teach a grammar course to some of the sixth grade students during winter camp. The students signed up for this course on a volunteer basis, and they have really mixed levels of English proficiency. I have no idea where to begin, or what lessons I could teach that would benefit each student.

The class will meet twice a week over the four week camp, for a total of ~2.5 hours of class time each week. I know I want to focus on basic sentence structure, tenses, simple parts of speech, and contractions. I'm not really sure what else I should include, or how I can make sure every student is sufficiently challenged.

Any ideas or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much! Have a great day!  ;D

If you manage to get everyone up to speed on a fair level, Mad Libs are always fun.
The only difference between teachers and magicians is that teachers share their secrets.

all your worksheets done for you, you can use a flash downloader to download the games  if you want. Use a ball or something to make the quizzes more fun.
