New Super Mario Game

Super Mario Release 2
November 2014

This new release doesn't change much of the game that the students will see, but makes it easier to make, play, and share.
  • Compatibility with PowerPoint 2007, 2010, and 2013
  • ScoreBoard slides for two, three, four, five, or six teams.
  • Textboxes are now placeholders. Just click and type. They will expand if you need to type longer sentences.
  • Content placeholders allow you to add pictures or videos more easily. You can also just copy and paste pictures if you wish.
  • Click the used question boxes to have the question link return. This is just in case you click the wrong one.
  • All audio files are now embedded and should work in all versions of PowerPoint in Windows 7 and 8.
  • One power-up has been changed to switch points, which students always love.

Because PowerPoint 2007 handles music differently and doesn't run some animations smoothly, I created seperate files. Even if you have PowerPoint 2007, I would recommend using the 2010 file and downloading PowerPoint Viewer 2010 to play it.

Also be sure to install the font file.

Have fun!

nice game.

i'd recommend adding screen shots below the post so that it gives people more incentive to DL it.

unfortunately even in 2007, it crashed several times. It could just be my computer though

like many NET's, most school computers have 2010 installed. I wish i could get 2013, but i dont think thats happening any time soon, so i may not be able to play it in my classes :(

ill play around with it tomorrow.

do you still have the original sound files?
i might be able to get the sound to play if i re-add the sound and keep everything in one folder....

Nice!

Question are there any slides that show how many points you get for the blue flower, white flower, etc? I can't seem to find that.

Yes, those are power-ups. Click them when they come up and they will take you to the slides with explanations.

This looks amazing! I love the design and all the detail you put into this. I'm running Powerpoint 2007, and the sound worked for me, although was computer was really sluggish in the transitions and loading of slides. (But that's my POS computer more than this PPT.) Great work!

;D I can't believe how amazing this is! Its does make the computer freeze up a bit but i am gonna try it anyway since i know my kids will flip out over how awesome it is. I have the 2007 version and i am running it on office 2007(full not viewer) and the dice still don't work on a couple of the power ups... I am not sure if i am doing something wrong or if its just not possible to make it work. What would you suggest doing on those parts? should I just delete the die and have a physical die in class... or will it mess up the slide if i delete it?

Thanks, I put a lot of time into it. I went back and optimized the files to work better. Try downloading the "Lite" version. It doesn't have the scoreboard or dice but it should run fine on any computer. Thanks for your feedback!

This PPT looks amazing but I could never load pass the 2nd slide. I've tried it on both my home and office computer and both aren't crappy computers. Is there anyway we could reduce the file size of the PPT?

The file size isn't the problem, it is the scoreboard. Because of the feedback I was getting I have optimized the files. You can download the "Lite" version which doesn't have the scoreboard or dice features. If you are using pretty nice computers you can download the "Deluxe" version and delete the scoreboard. The game can be played without it. Thanks for your feedback. I know I need to change things when people are having problems.

No, it was the PPT. The scoreboard takes a really powerful computer to run well. Try downloading the new "Lite" version, which doesn't have the scoreboard and I optimized it for older computers. Thanks for the feedback!

This is wonderful.   I'm having a trouble getting the answer to pop up. Maybe I missed a direction.   When I click on B and the new page pops up showing the question and the central picture box. What do i press to show the answer?   I cant see a skull or question mark.
Looking to make new friends in Korea! I will be residing near Seoul, but living in Bundang.

Help please~~~
Blocks should change the colors when theyare used, but only the wrong answered question blocks change its colors (even lite version).  Thee is no change in color for the correctly answered question blocks.
I reallywant to use it for my students.

You are using PowerPoint 2010. Unfortunately, a glitch in that version causes the problem you are having. You can download PowerPoint Viewer 2007, which I posted a link to in the description or find another method of remembering which questions have been answered.
