Hello,
I teach at a private Elementary School and teach 1st Grade Math. THis is my 4th school actually in 2.5 years in Korea. Just started it too! ANyways I have been use to teaching at the public Elementary level. We have materials and all but there is a 10 min period between classes that kids have to "rest", but of course that isn't what they are doing. I have been showing them fun youtube videos from my playlist and starting to run out.

I have a playlist of educational math videos for the kids but that is meant for class time.

I was wondering what vids you could recommend or channels on youtube that would help calm them down or entertain them while they "rest". Even the Korean homeroom teachers suggested we do this.

Just seeing what you guys have found out there.

Check out my playlist:

My favorites so far:

The Pizza Song (good for introducing foods):
Wish the visuals towards the end were a little better but.....

Days of the Week:
By They Might Be Giants (check out their other stuff for kids!)

Nom Nom Nom:
More of a fun song but I do make them yell out the names of the animals that appear

I love playing animated shorts without dialogue. My students are low level, so videos with no dialogue allows them to concentrate on the story. I then pause the video to ask the questions in English or teach them new vocabulary or phrases based on what's happening.

They are OBSESSED with Mr. Bean. Just head to youtube and search for "Mr. Bean" or "animated shorts"

Here are the latest videos I have used in my classes:
