Here is an introductory ppt. to lesson 3 "What time is it?". I used some other people's ppt's and also added a few things specific to the book. I'll play a whiteboard game with the clocks at the end by showing the clock, asking "What time is it?", and having each table guess the time.

Here's a lesson I came up with for the time.
I used a ppt from this site as an overview of vocabulary.
Genki english also has an example of how to use their song to have actions along with numbers.

These are the lessons I used for Days 1 and 2 for this lesson. On Day 1, I worked on teaching the students more time than just at the hours, and I included a game that I used to work on that. It's a speed bomb game, where the students only have until the bomb drops to say the correct time. On Day 2, I used the Daily Schedule one, and then played Bingo using the appropriate "powerpoint" as the cards. My 4th grade classes go up to 36 students, which is why there are so many cards--I printed them 4 on a page in Landscape format to reduce waste.

Here's a relay race template for this lesson (the template was made by someone else for a lesson last year and I have modified this game for this lesson) Cut the chart into strips. Divide the students into groups. There should be one set of strips for each group. The group must get one strip at a time from the teacher. Each group must fill in the appropriate sentence, someone from the group must come to the teacher and speak the sentence to the teacher (I make the students rotate speakers), and then they can get the next strip. 1st group to finish wins. The sentences should be along the lines of "Its 6 o clock its time for dinner.

I used this song 'what's the time, mr. wolf?' and kids loved it!

for some students, it's a long song... :'(
i let students just listen to the song first, and then spent about 10-15 minutes for 'listen and repeat'
i told the kids that it's good enough to sing the lines that go like 'what's the time, mr. wolf? it's OOO o'clock.'

if you're still in lesson 3, i hope you have a fun class with this song! :D

when doing the role-play, kids are motivated more when they have the character masks or something like that.
here's what I'm going to use for the role-play in lesson 3.
