Thanks loudline for the ideas.

I borrowed your lesson and changed parts of it.

Starts with team tongue twister (my girls went crazy for it) you'll need a stop watch.
Then talk about advice with examples. (Pics borrowed from previous post).
Then finishes with a think on your feet activity. I give the students a random word and they have to make a short dialogue using that word. Puts them under a bit of pressure to actually think instead of just looking and reading. I also give them 30-40 seconds to think and say the dialogue. If they make a good one in the time limit, they get a candy.
Random words: dog, fight, jacket, kakaoTalk...things like that.

Next class will use the other phrases "....,aren't they?"

I made these as an introduction to the unit (Couldn't work out how to get them on one file.)

I practised:

'What can you see?' 'I can see...' and
'What does it look like?' 'It looks like...'

I'm sure you can adapt for your own classes.

Focuses on "Why don't you ____?"

Game goes super fast - maybe 5 min per game for my girls so just had to roll with it and make them play again.

Instructions to make cards.

Print out page 1 and 2 on a double sided sheet to use as deck 1 - the judge's deck.
-one side the judge reads, the other side is the answer. mark one side to distinguish it from the other side.

Print out page 2 and 3 on single sided sheet to use as deck 2 - the face up cards. Page 2 is all the correct answers. Page 3 is a bunch of nonsense answers to challenge them.

After completing L&S1-2 and ItC, I did the following activities* with the students:
*I generally use two classes per lesson.

NOTES:
1. It was only after going through all the work of making the materials that I realized that the textbook selection (and by default my materials) only includes works by men, western men (except Lee's The Bull). Someday, not today, I may go back and rectify that.
2. I teach at two schools with different textbooks. The other set of textbooks also has an art lesson. I combined pieces from both textbooks to make the game. You may decide to stick with those in the book and add some really famous pieces instead.
3. I created these materials more as an afterthought. What I would really recommend is opening with Hidden Picture/Brain Survey, doing some textbook work, and ending with the Go Fish game.
