This is a thread for any lesson material for YBM (2009-2013) Middle School English 2 Special Lesson 1: Simple, but Wonderful Stories. Please share your contributions here. I really hate these special lesson chapters, especially because I have to spread them out.

I adapted some games and lessons from here.

Part 1:
Warm-up (Guess the Word)
Vocabulary from the Chapter
Sleeping Soccer Players Game

Part 2:
"What do you think of?" PHRASE
Battleship Game (Worksheets)

EDIT:The original version of Battleship was a DISASTER. Students simply did not understand it at all. I changed it significantly from groups of 4 --> pairs of two. I also modified the instructions to make it extremely clear. It was a success! Students had lots of fun with it.

I also added more questions to the "Sleeping Soccer" game as the students really enjoyed that. Hope this helps!
