I made an intro worksheet/study notes for this lesson, outlining the main study points, translating a few basic vocabulary bits and giving fill the gap practice.  When students finished that, they could choose which of the two additional word games they wanted to do first - word search or cryptogram.  I use these kinds of word games a lot, as all my students really enjoy them.

For next week I will make a bingo game to get them to practice the speaking parts a little more, and I will do a few exercises from the textbook.

5 fingered liar was a good game :) it worked well after their vacation. Was a bit difficult to explain tho. For the punishment, I used questions from their speaking test of the last quarter. It was a scary enough punishment for my kids haha.

These are not mine (thanks OP!), I posted this in Grade 1 but ended up using it for Grade 2 as well. It's an easy lesson to ease into the semester. I started out with Listen and Speak from the book, talked about various summer activities then jumped into these.
