This is a ppt to accompany the chapter.
I added the word "bored"- with Kristen Stewart's face- she looks bored all the time. :)

Here is a Show Time PPT. I use Practice 1 as a listen and repeat activity and then Practice 2 and 3 I have the kids say the lines as a class. At the end they practice in their groups and then present their skit to the class. Hope this helps :)

Here's a "sleeping elephants" game modified for this lesson. Thanks to whoever originally made the template!

For those who aren't familiar with the game, students need to be in groups of four. Each student has a number, 1, 2, 3 or 4. Each round starts with everyone putting their heads down. The teacher says, "Elephant 1, wake up!" and all of the kids in position one look at the first word on the PPT. Then the teacher says, "Elephant 1, go to sleep." Game continues until each team member has seen one word. Afterward, they work with their team to write a sentence on a mini-whiteboard. If they get it correct, they get one point for the team.

This is a simple introductory slide presentation to 'Lesson 3: I'm Happy.' I showed the chant from page 31 to start off with and then showed the ppt which includes the target feelings and a 'Pass the Ball' game. Doing all that took about 15-20 minutes.

PPT for Listen & Play from first period; click the doors to show the pictures and click the pictures to go back. Easier than trying to make flash cards from the teacher's guide, if you don't have the resource pack
Super-simple motivation about Western emoticons. Show the first slide, ask them what it is, and then for the following slides ask what emotion it is or ask for the Korean equivalent. My kids loved it (was great to watch the entire class rotating their heads).

"I'm Happy" Feelings Card Game:

Students are each given a card with one emotion, which they have to keep secret.
The mission is to "collect" all five emotions available by practicing the key dialogue with different classmates and writing down the names of their classmates who have the emotion they need.

E.g. Student with a "Happy" Card has to collect Tired, Sad, Hungry, Angry, as well as Happy.

Instructions ppt and cards attached, just double side print.

Here is a really simple ppt to go along with the Lambert the Sheepish Lion video. My kids are learning the word "surprised" so I included that one (slide 4 I think) and I was going to teach them "proud" for the last slide. Hope it helps~

I'm happy Zombie Game- Kids went crazy!!

Basically SS put their heads down and T selects 1/2 kids by tapping them on their head~ they are the zombies, but they have to keep it a secret! T says "Go" and kids walk around asking each other the key question (similar to the Matching Game). Once they ask a zombie a question, they turn into a zombie. Zombies cannot turn back into humans. I suggest changing the game from speaking to 5 people, to listen for the bell and sit down~ I felt it worked better.
