I am making my powerpoints tonight (a little busy with teaching every grade K, 3,4,5,6, M1, M2, M3, H1, H2 and 5 new textbooks), so if I can, I'll post what I got.  I found a couple nice sites for this kind of topic (Lesson 2 Reminders and Excuses).

http://www.ihbristol.com/useful-english-expressions/example/excuses-for-being-late/7

http://www.ihbristol.com/useful-english-expressions/example/reminding-people-to-do-things/6

So I will construct the materials from this and the book.
Good luck.

Okay, here it is in all its infinite glory.  You'll have to print off the slide about 3/4 of the way through and cut it into strips and give one to each student.  (It's slide 29) They have to find their match in event and excuse.

Other than that, it's all I got.  I sure hope it works and I sure hope I can stretch this bad boy for 45 minutes.

Enjoy.

It fit the 45 minutes nearly perfectly for me.
I left the picture of slide 29 up on the screen, the kids wandered around, checked on the board to see which ones might match, asked questions, and then found their match.

Getting them up out of their seats part way through was a great way to help them both release and gain a lot of energy.

i see some are downloading our (two posters) lessons. but i have not heard much (other than the first lesson) for peoples' status.

Are we (iamrhart and Kingeudey) ahead of them?

Dunno.  I have so many classes and levels it's a day to day thing.  I teach K,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,and 11 at 4 schools plus 2 online classes now.  5 new textbooks.  I hate my life.

We are spending three weeks on each lesson, so you might be ahead of the pack if other schools are doing something similar. Also, I was told that ppts are extra, and that I should just use the e-book for the first few lessons.

As was the case last week, i have started a skeleton. this (lesson 2) will be used in two more weeks, but as of right now, this is what i have done.

You will see:
1) Opening slide.
2) Vocabulary (5 words, test in week2)

Lesson Topic.
I had a hard time (i have a student book) figuring out what the Topic was, for this lesson. but (according to my Co Teacher) the lesson is about Excuses and Reminders. this seems similar to another lesson that had statements like "Dont forget to brush your teeth" or "dont forget to turn off the water".  I believe (off the top of my head), that it was Ji Hak Sa Middle School 3 Lesson 4, that contained the "reminders" lessons.

***UPDATED**** March 19th.
Credit for some slides as well as the Video, go to Ender (from Ji Hak Sa Middle School grade 3, lesson 4)
Also, you will need to go to "insert" and "movie" in order to re-insert the video. if you have any confusion on how to do it, please ask here, or PM me.

yeah, i figured something like this.
after talking to my co-teacher, we (my school) are supposed to be finished with lesson 3 by the time of the Exam. cutting my Lessons to about 2 weeks a piece.

For the love of Jeremiah, does anyone have a link to the book's website?  This really is irksome.  No teacher's manuals, no cds, no nothing.

Hey guys.  I have the cd for this, so if you want to meet up ever we might be able to figure out a way you can use it.  I'm not sure where you can find it online.  Two options to have it(with me keeping the cd) could be... 1)installing the cd on your laptop(I believe this is an option, but it didnt work with my laptop) or 2)making a copy of the cd(I also have not tried this, but I'm willing to help if you want it!!)

Let me know guys and gals,

Garrett

I asked my coteacher nicely about the book DVD (that they use in the classroom to bring up the textbook and show answers) since I now cover all of the Listen &Speaking sections. She said to check around the office, but after I told her I couldn't find one, she did let me borrow hers to download it onto my computer.

SO nice. It translates all the instructions for activities too.

If you want that e-book - Keep asking. It is worth having if you have to teach from the book.

I'm on the third plain of hell (an island).  The odds of me reaching the mainland to get it is pretty much zero.  Thanks, though.  I will ask for it from my co-teacher again.

Here is my addendum to Lesson #2. For this part I was asked to do Part C on pages 29 (basically as review) and then move to Page 31 and do Part C as well.

Instead of excuses, it's moved to suggestions and advice (on how to not have things happen again) and how to give that advice without sounding like a jerk...which is often impossible unless you're someone's mother...but I digress.

So, here it is.  It's the same PPT as before, except I added on, so you're getting a 2 for 1 here.  Paow!

Good luck.

I forgot, just like last time, you'll have to print off slide #80 and slice it into little beautiful bits and distribute them among your minions.

The ebook is at
http://www.douclass.com/smart/?dbook_seq=183

But you need to have an account to use it. I think you may have to be a Korean teacher to sign-up but I'm not sure. My co-teacher lets me use her account.

What my school usually does is Chapters 1 and 2 for the first midterm and 3/4/5 for the summer exam.  As such I have 3 weeks per chapter, an introduction week and a review week.
