Here's my first lesson for the chapter - Here's how it's organized:
- Review about talking about vacations, since they just finished one
- Introductory videoclip (the Brothers Bloom - "I Collect Hobbies")
- Students list off their own hobbies, write them on the board
- Last one standing (basically Rows and Columns, but the last one gets a prize)
- Acting Charades ("Talk with your Body") Students must act out different hobbies in teams.

Basic powerpoint that i used for the intro of this lesson. Started with a brainstorming game and each team had to come up with as many activities as possible. Then students were asked about their favourite activities.
Powerpoint introduces different ways to ask about hobbies, making plans, and answering. Students then were asked to write a dialogue with a partner.
Notes* I just did this class and the first half with the game and discussion went well, when we went into the powerpoint interest was lost. Feel free to use and modify however you like!

Second lesson for the chapter - again, parts of it were taken from different lessons here on Waygook, although I think the particulars of my game are original, but may in fact be mistaken. Anyway, the contents:
- Introduction, talking with the students about what they did with their friends over the weekend.
- Eliciting ways they know how to ask their friends to do something, then introducing the new grammar.
- Making "strange invitations" in a madlibs way. Students must write down seven words, then use those in the provided madlibs context to invite their friends. Friends either accept or reject.
- A board game where a student rolls to move, then must ask someone else to join them in doing the activity on that square. The invited student must roll, and if they roll a positive answer, they can move to join that other person on the square. I anticipate this shaking the game up a lot - someone who's very far behind can get a big boost from their friend in front, or someone way behind can drag another person down. I'm very interested in seeing how this turns out. Instructions for both small groups and whole-class play are included (whole-class play currently hidden).
- An optional song fill-in-the-blanks exercise I'll use if the game ends too early and there isn't enough time to start again.
The extra attachment includes the little sheets of roll-results for students who are asked to join, so that the groups can remember and don't have to keep looking at the board to check.

Shostager, you're lessons are just my style!
So refreshing to see another teacher on waygook whose setup is very similar to my own! I've gotten so many great ideas from you this year! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, @kclark14 and behrensk.
@behrensk, glad you like them. I'm just trying to give back to the site - it was a life-saver when I first came here with no proper teaching experience, and has given me lots of ideas. And, as I often say, my lessons tend to be a mash-up of other things I've found on Waygook, so of course I can't take full credit.

I like that 'I collect hobbies' clip. But I don't like the miserable youtube quality.
I made a 720p version.

This lesson actually worked pretty well. Probably best for low-level/mid-level students. Made from scratch. Hope it helps.

Hello,
References: Free time, what do you want to do? Usually
I quite significantly adapted a previous poster's presentation. Thank you for the help, and thank you to everyone else who has posted stuff which has helped me (too many to name). I wrote the different frequency adverbs on the board and illicited from them how often they do things. I then played a game of shuffle cups.
Regards,
Ian

This ppt is meant to go with
AQVM's icollecthobbies video clip
from The Brother's Bloom posted above
it is a screen shot of each of the hobbies shown in the clip and sentences such as:
'She can..."
'Her hobby is ...'
'She enjoys...'

I then played a game of shuffle cups.
My kids went nuts for this game!! I can't believe I hadn't tried it until now- thank you IanTedstone!
Here is my Part 1 PPT with lots of GIF's to keep them somewhat entertained. Borrowed a few elements from other posts. For the warm up video I just showed a random "People are Awesome" video. Should be a hyperlink on slide #3. Also edited shuffle cups a little bit, which I will post as well.
Thanks everybody! Let's keep sharing the love.

Here's a simple "Usually" worksheet that can be used as a warmup or review. 10 questions asking students what they usually do in different scenarios. [Found on Boggle]
