Here's my first lesson for Unit 3. Focusing on the speaking on pages 61 and 62. I've uploaded my PPT,  dialogue video and bingo sheets.

My school has specific rules as to how my lesson is set out, you will need to edit the PPT to suit your lesson.

Our format is NEAT textbook + basic explanation + 1st dialogue + pre-teach important vocab + watch video + show & complete dialogue + 2nd dialogue prac.

After this is done we're going to play Bingo with some of the key phrases. I made the sheets using barryfunenglish. Print out the sheets double-sided, cut them in half and give one to each student. Every bingo sheet is different, I randomly call out the phrases one by one. Students can mark off ONE of their blocks that matches the phrase I call out. The goal is to try make a 5 block by 5 block "T" shape. This usually takes about 15 minutes.

My lesson doesn't use the textbook at all. I'm focusing on be+going to and be+planning to for expressing future plans. For the last 15 minutes of class we play charades. The lesson has gone over relatively well so far.

I've taken others templates, and posts and created this lesson. It needs to be paced quite quickly to fit it into a period.

I found that spending about 5 minutes on each of the worksheet activities got them to concentrate a lot better than usual. When it came to do speaking practise, they were focused and just got on with it. The worksheet is a breeze for the mid to high level students, but it keeps them quiet just long enough for you to be able to explain things to the lower level students.

I'm a little late to the game on this, but here's what I had put together before using the stuff ross6520 had posted in the thread for the previous lesson as a template. It's just covering "I'm going/planning to ___" and "Can you ____?" as I do the dialog stuff here, where my KT focuses more on the grammar.

My intro lessons for Speak 1 and 2 and the activites I used :)
The cards are for students to play Go fish using key vocab: "What are you going to do?" "I'm planning to..."
The baskin and robbins game I found really effective with drilling key vocab for lesson 2- "Can you help me____" (wash the car etc)

Here is a blank board sheet for requests.

Can you open the door? Of course. etc

I used it for connect 4, but it would work just as easily for battleships.

Focusing on Listen and Speak 1

Get them to use the expressions by showing them the pictures. Make them answer in full sentences.

Introduce the expressions and explain them ( feel free to change stuff you may not agree with).

Then do the practice drills. Show the blank first, then answer.

I have to do the workbook page so remove that slide if you don't have to.

Then a worksheet to make them practice speaking and answering each other.

They start off by asking what are you going to do .... and finish the sentence with the word in the box. Students then write the name of the student they asked and write the plan. ex Jinho/ watch batman. once they fill in the chart, they fill in the sentences below. I usually ask everyone to choose 1 sentence and read it out loud.

Finish off by telling them to write 3 things they are planning to do this weekend. Depending on time, you can ask every student to say on thing or pick a few.

Then review.
