Okay, let's begin.
Week 1:
Listen/minimal pairs warm up, a few new words, pg 66, "Is it okay if I + verb" & the connect 4 game from above.
Week 2:
CONTAINS A PHOTO OF MY FAMILY ON THE FIRST SLIDE This week is a continuation of "Is it okay if I" so I have not included the listen section for page 67, where I will focus on a different grammar point.
Begin with a quick "Ask your partner" taken from somewhere else in this thread. A print out is included if you want your kids to go around and ask different people the questions. Go over review for vocab, and target sentences.
Then there is a "Zoomed In" Game. Equip each team with a white board. Show them a slide with a small section of a picture on it. They have to guess what picture it is, and write a sentence on their boards. Any answer that makes sense and has perfect English = 2 points. Poor English = 1 point. Have them swap who writes every round.
Week 3:
CONTAINS A PHOTO OF MY FAMILY ON THE FIRST SLIDE
Vocab review, and then straight into the listening on pg 67. Then, I really like niamh92smith's idea about Pet Peeves, so I introduced the concept of Pet Peeves to them and the expression "I can't stand it!!" Then I equipped every single one of them with a small slip of paper that had a number on it. (1-26 if there are 26 students. 1-30 if there are 30). They each had to write a pet peeve on their paper using the sentence "I don't like people who _____." After about 2/3min have them stand up and ask each other what their pet peeves were, and when they find the person who has the number corresponding with their own class number, then they take that slip of paper.
Once they each have the slip of paper with their own number on it (and have given their slip of paper to the correct student), they can collect the cartoon worksheet. They must use the 4 sentences provided and draw a cartoon based off of the pet peeve that is written on their new slip of paper. (cartoon template attached to ppt - final slide)
EDIT: My boys classes thought this was the dumbest activity they had ever done, so I created a worksheet as well. Instructions on how to complete the worksheet are in the ppt. It involves group work, reading, speaking, listening, and writing, and then a couple of puzzles to get to the final answer.
BONUS stuff:
My teachers are really behind atm, so I have a couple of filler lessons coming up. First is an Adventure Time Themed bomb game that reviews a lot of grammar that they have covered previously. There are also some general knowledge questions, and a couple questions that use me as an example. Please check the slides carefully.
