I do my lessons in two parts but because I did not see anything posted for this lesson I thought this could help, the lesson covers half of the listen and speak section on pages 70 and 71 and covers the dialogue from the CD. The activity I built into the lesson should get the students talking and acting with the script (also provided). You must also download the mp3 file so that the opening has music (it's cooler that way). The theme is Samurai Champloo. Also for those of you who download right before the lesson there is a section that you should insert a picture of yourself (and a student if possible).

Here is part 2 for "the great judge" it follows my previous theme and I advise you download the mp3 file to make the ppt sound cooler.

Here is a Sponge Bob Bomb game for lesson 4.  I teach the listen and speak sections at my school so all of the questions are based on pages 70-73.  My students are fairly low level so its an easier game.  I haven't tried the game in class yet, as I'm waiting till I finish page 73, so I'm unsure how the student will like it.

Thanks goes to Sprite06 for the Sponge Bob template, [/url]http://waygook.org/index.php/topic,22140.0.html

Hey!

I am uploading a PowerPoint presentation of Lesson 4 Listening & Speak 2. I teach the one lesson in parts, across two weeks, so the main focus is on Directions. The PowerPoint explains how to give directions when asking directions in aisles and floors.

I played the game Telephone for this activity and used images from the book and also my 3rd grade's book that taught directions as well. Pictures are at the end of the PowerPoint in the Directions Telephone Game file.

How to play:
One row of students becomes a team.
1. Students must look at the PowerPoint slides to give directions.
2. The first student of the line has to produce their answer. In their row, the first student must whisper their answer to the second student. The second student in the row must whisper the answer to the third student…etc.
3. The last student in that row should write the answer that they heard.
4. Whichever team writes the answer correctly will get a point.
*Depending on the student’s levels and ability, a time limit will be given for each student to pass along the answer and write it down. Students of the same row can also help each other produce their final answer.

Example:
1. Students view a slide of the inside of a store. The teacher will announce:
“I’m looking for women’s shoes. Where can I find them?”
2. The first student should produce the answer using the key phrase to give directions:
“They are on the 1st floor.”
3. The student should whisper their answer to until it reaches the last student in their row/team.
4. The last student should write the answer.
5. For the next round the students rotate. The student at the front goes to the back and everyone else moves up one seat.
