Hey guys,

So here is my PPT for part 1 of lesson 7.  In class, I go back and forth between this and the book. I am trying to keep things very simple.

The first part reviews how to tell time. For the second part, I made students look at the pictures and write down the sentence. Example: I will go swimming on Thursday at 2:25. (Remember to clearly explain to your students when to use "on" and "at" when talking about dates and time.) The Listen and Speak B activity in the book looks at a book fair poster and talks about the date and time. So for the fourth part of the PPT, I just added some additional concert posters for the students to look at and find date/time/place.  And the final part is just a "time machine" activity where the students fix the sentence and add the correct time.

I didn't have a lot of time to put this together.  So it doesn't look very nice, but it gets the job done.  I know must of us like to take other people's work and improve, expand, and add bells and whistles. So I am hoping someone can do the same with this, re-post it, and get the ball rolling.

Edit: Also added are some short youtube clips on the tomato, mud and kimchi festivals.

Hi

Here's an PowerPoint presenation of Listen & Speak 1.

The key phrase in Listening & Speak 2 can easily be added but I teach one chapter in two parts.

As for an activity, the students will make posters of an event they want to attend or are hosting (whether real or not). Using these posters we will play a guessing game that is a variation of the Let's Communicate activity on page 140. However, I will put my students in teams and all the posters will be taped to the board. Students must guess what event the teacher (or a student) is looking forward to. They should use the expressions on page 140 to answer. Award points and a reward for the winning team.

Here is part 2 of Lesson 7.  Some of it is mine, but most of it is stolen from PPTs on other textbook threads.  I attached a worksheet I found as well, but haven't had time to use it in class.

Here's my powerpoint for this lesson. It covers both concepts separately and then puts them together at the end. I hope you enjoy it!
