Since no one has added anything yet, I suppose I will get us started! Here is a prezi that I just finished to cover the beginning of the lesson. It covers some quick volunteering and then moves on to introduce the key phrases from pages 176 and 177. It also gives two examples at the end of how to use them. Hope you all enjoy~!

Also, here is a quick reading homework for them about volunteering. There are three questions for them to answer on the back. My students are really high level so I know that the majority will be able to read and understand the article with no problems. Hopefully some of you can use this as well.

Here is my lesson 9 part 1 power-point I haven't tried it yet but hopefully this may help someone. I won't actually do this until the week of 11/3.

Hey

I'm uploading an activity for both Lessons 9: Listen & Speak 1 & 2. I teach one lesson in two parts so that each lesson is focused on one key phrase.

Listen & Speak 1 Guessing Game
Students are to guess the celebrity/character using the key phrase, "I'd like to introduce____to you. He/She ______".

Either play in teams where one person from each group tries to give clues to their teammates to guess the person or character OR as a whole class where one person presents clues to the entire class. Either way the student should present the person by saying, "I'd like to introduce someone to you". Then describing something about them. "She's a famous figure skater". The other students write down the correctly guessed celebrity/character.
*Cut out the celebrity/character images, fold them and put them in a box for students to draw at random.

Listen & Speak 2 Speaking Activity
Students discuss their wishes in groups by asking and answering the questions from the slides in their groups using the key phrase, "I wish I could [동사] + _____."

Students have 1min to ask and answer each other. At the end of the minute, one person from each group can share the answer of another student in their group by saying, "He/She wishes he/she could [동사] + ______."

Here's my ppt for Listen & Speak 1 and 2 (I'm lazy and put it all in one ppt,  but I only do one per week). We read Today's Aims together, go over a new Konglish word, vocab and the key expressions, do the 2 pgs of book work, review the dialogues, then play a game. Game descriptions are in the ppt. For 1 we play an introduction game that I got the idea from somewhere on waygook. For 2 we play charades and you can change the answers to whatever you think your students would enjoy. My students are low level so I try to keep the ppts really simple and rely a lot on speaking in the class. Hope it helps!
