Did this Coin Flip Game today in the final lesson. The 'good evening' picture is very dark when printed so if you want, delete the picture and draw your own or find another clip art. My students didn't seem to care as the words are printed below pic anyway.

I found a great game called the "Virus game" and my kids loved it!! They kept asking to play it.
First, have the kids put their heads down and close their eyes. The teacher will tap 3 random students on their shoulders. They will be the "virus" and are "not so good" while everyone else will be fine or great (their choice). Students will then have to walk around asking each other, "How are you?"
If they come across a "virus" who says he/she is "not so good", that student who approached him/her will then also become a virus and must say "not so good" from then on. The aim of the game is to speak to 6 people without speaking to a virus.
It could get complicated to explain so I created a PPT that will walk the students through the process. ^^ If you have any questions, let me know. Hopefully I explained it well enough. >.<

This is a listening game for the first period. If the word/phrase you say matches one of the pictures on the end of their strip of paper, they tear off that piece. When all the pieces have been said, they get Bingo! Most of the pictures come from the textbook, except for the evening picture so you should point that out to the students beforehand so that they know which picture matches that phrase.

I've attached two power points. The "How are You?" ppt is to present how to greet someone and ask how they are doing. It gives step by step examples so that by the end the students can practice building their own dialogues. The "Greetings" ppt is a game. It first presents the different greetings and has coordinating pictures. In the later slides, the pictures are still shown but with no captions. The students/teams must guess which greeting is missing.

Baskin Robbins Speaking Game
. Divide students into small groups. Play the game just like Baskin Robbins, with students saying 1, 2, or 3 of the expressions. The student who reaches 31 is "out." Students who are out get no points for that round. The rest get one point. This allows everyone to keep playing the game many times.
(The question mark represents "How are you?")
Samok (사목)
reading game. There is a 10x10 grid of words. Like in Connect Four, students want to make a line of 4 in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) while taking turns with their partner. To claim a box, they have to read the word. Unlike Connect Four, however, they can choose any box at any time. If they can get 4 in a row, they get one point and keep playing until the board is full. Students should already know how to play omok, the original 5-box version.

Here's a ppt for the 1st/2nd period. I borrowed from some ppts I found on here and added a bit of my own. It has an introduction of the characters, the character spinner, new words, and key expressions. Hope it helps someone!

Usually follow the book. I'm using this activity for period 3 but no book stuff, basically just reading speaking review.
review warmup of vocab. baskin robbins game. and connect four. can play connect four many ways. i review key expressions and then do boys vs girls on the main TV.

Here's a wordsearch with a fill-in-the-missing-letter style word bank. I'm using it after the Activity (period 4) because I usually split up the activity and the review portions of the lessons.

Just a quick evolution game. Auto timer for 10mins included in ppt, but the timing is easy to change or remove.

Hey, everyone. Daekyo has new textbooks this year, but it looks like similar content. Does anyone have the teacher's manual yet? My school doesn't have it yet and I was looking to try to introduce the new characters to my classes next week in a ppt. Thanks!
