Board game for the lesson, focusing on speaking but also on writing a few words such as 'breakfast', 'bed', and so on. Print out the lined paper also attached and cut into quarters (give one to each student).

Students take turns rolling the dice. Roll 1,2--move 1 space; 3,4--move 2 spaces and so on.

When the students land on a square that says e.g. 'bed 적어', they should write the word on the paper. Even if they have to go back to the start a couple times (every time they land on the snake they must go back), there should be enough room on the lined paper for quite a few words.

I'm sure most people are probably finishing up this lesson by now, but if you haven't, try this game!

I made this card game to practice time of day with my kids. It went over SUPER well with them (they were asking to play again!), so I thought I would share it here.

It's basically a modified version of the Speed card game that you may or may not have played a child, except that instead of putting numbers in order, you are putting time of day cards in order. I stuck to just "time for breakfast," "time for school," "time for lunch," "time for dinner," and "time for bed."

Anyway, this game does take a bit of prep work. You'll need to print out two sets of the cards to make 1 deck (for a total of 60 cards). I made 7 total decks and had my kids play in groups of 3, 4, or 5. Basically, putting cards down is a free-for-all, so long as they say the card before they put it down, and only one of each card is played in any cycle (TIME FOR BREAKFAST-TIME FOR SCHOOL-TIME FOR LUNCH-TIME FOR DINNER-TIME FOR BED). All the instructions (explained more in detail with animations) and cards are in the attached ppt.

I hope this works as well for your classes as it did for mine!

Review game for L8: Pass the Penguin [ball] game with Golden Bell style elements.

Play like normal Pass the Ball game, i.e. the student who ends up with the ball must answer, but for the writing questions, have them work in teams. In my classroom there are usually 3 teams (A, B and C) - so each team had 4/5 whiteboards. For the writing questions, I awarded points to teams only if all their boards had the correct answer.

this is a line bingo board, that I was pretty sure i got form this thread, but i don't see it, so here it is. great for listening. if you're not familiar with line bingo, they can only choose a word at either end of the strip, and once they X or tear off that word, a new one is at the end. so it's a little harder to win, which i think everyone enjoyed.

I also included a What's Behind reading game, because reading games are hard to find, and my students really like this one. if you're a Really Cool Teacher (i am not) you can even bring candy for the winning team.

My students got confused about how to say the minutes... (i.e. 9:05 --> nine "O" five ; 9:27 --> "nine twenty-seven"). So here's a whole hour of digit time for the purposes of getting used to the pattern and practicing numbers 1 to 59.   ;D
