Here is a price is right game that I totally stole from another textbook thread/ modified to fit this lesson.

The class should read the dialogue aloud, then in teams write down the estimated price of the item on mini-whiteboards. Ask each team to state their price e.g. "It's 5000won!" before revealing the answer.
Further instructions in the ppt.

Credit goes to whoever made the orginial!

Here's three PPTs for this chapter.  First up is an intro PPT for practicing some vocabulary.  The Up & Down price game is fairly simple.  Give the students three chances to guess the item price.  Initial price, then tell them up or down, second price, up or down, then a final price.  The Wheel of Fortune game I Frankensteined from two different presentations and thankfully the wheel works properly.  Each area of the wheel that's clicked will produce a different price.  The instructions are in the PPT.  Happy teaching folks!

- EDIT -

Updated the Wheel of Fortune game so the bonus question prices don't automatically show on click.

PsychoGemini, nice up and down game! I've taken it and created another version for a whole class individual game. The way it works is:

1) Give each student a points card (check the jpeg file)
2) Let them see the price and have them guess if it's higher or lower. If they think it's higher, they should stand up; if they think lower, stay seated.
3) After they make their decision, reveal the price. If it's higher, whoever is standing gets a point; if it's lower, whoever is seated gets a point.
4) Play the game for 12 questions. Winners or those with a certain number of points can get a reward with whatever system you might use.

(I plan to use this for the first listening period and have the students repeat after me e.g. "How much is this toy car?" "It's $5." For the second period, I suggest that you use an effective speaking game/activity.)

I'm on this lesson again and will be making some new games for it.  Here's a Minecraft game.

I made this quick ppt for intro/listening. they used a white board to guess which of the 2 prices was the actual price of the item. some of them really threw them for a loop. for the prices in USD, i translated the amount to KRW on the board so they could get an idea of how much it would cost in won (with a 1 to 1000 ration cause this .0085 nonsense is stupid and awful.)

They were also pretty interested in US money (where i'm from) so I made a guessing game ppt with money from throughout the world, they had to guess where it was from. very informal. i have some info on the US money, but i didn't end up saying most of it cause they're in 4th grade and dont understand/care. I brought in some USD and also random money left over from trips. i recommend asking around for ringit, baht, philippine peso etc so you can pass the money around. they were quite delicate with it once i told them it was real money, but for some reason they all wanted to smell it and/or lick it? so i had to put the kaibash on that nonsense. good for the Around the World section of the book.
