Introductory power point taken and modified from one of last years text books (thanks to the original maker). Has some extra colours that the book doesn't cover but I teach in rural Jeollanamdo and my students are all super low level so I'll just stick with what's in the book for now. Maybe for period 2 I'll introduce some of the other colours on the hidden slides.

Here's some material that I thankfully kept from my old school.  There's an introductory/review PPT and a Mario game to keep the kids active.

I've used this song with my kids to practice colors. You can have them learn to sing it, and also use it as a TPR activity. For example, you can have you kids clap for blue, jump for yellow, etc.

This is a fun warm up I did with my grade 3s. I originally used this lesson for grade 1 and 2. They love it and it's a great way to practice old and some new vocab.
Hope it's useful! http://mrsbaiasclassroom.blogspot.kr/2015/07/color-lesson-for-grade-1-and-2.html

This website has some cool ideas too: http://www.eslkidstuff.com/esl-kids-games/colors-games.htm#.VgCjCNKqqkp

I used the above song "what color is the sky" and then gave the students this color sheet to color each item. my classes are riddled with students with attention and behavior problems, so sometimes even coloring can be a bit of a challenge. it's great for a little extra time at the end of class or even if you're like me and have a difficult classroom. also included a What's Behind game. click the box, it disappears, some have candy, some do not. perfect for reading.

Review with the practice ppt first. Then play the card game.
just print in colour and cut the cards for each group.

A telepathy writing game!

1) Students form teams of 4
2) students say the words
3) students write 4 (of the 5) words
4) words disappear until one is left
5) Each team that did NOT write the final word gets one point!

A Pirates of the Classroom Game!

Student use the following dialogue
A: What's this?
B: It's a (color) (thing).

I normally don't like whole class games, but this one is almost decent.

CONNECT 4: Speaking, Reading, Listening.
1) Students watch an instructional PPT
2) Pairs of students students get the boards and cards
3) Students play a game in which they use this sentence:
“It’s a (color) (thing)”
To try to get 4 square in a row.
4) The first person to get 4 squares in a row wins.
