Here is a PPT for introducing or reviewing the key vocab.

I used another Waygookin's PPT and changed the order of the slides a bit, added lots of gifs (via Tumblr) and Korean translation. I can't guarantee my Korean is 100% accurate, but I double checked everything so I feel comfortable enough using it in my own classes on Monday. Hope this helps.

BINGO ppt writing game.

Works like a lotto game. Students write down 16 given words, choose a ball and it will reveal the answer/word. Print out a 4x4 bingo table/have them draw one.

The test's speaking portion seems a little weird.

The second picture has the dialog "What's she doing?" "Well..."

And the third picture doesn't really match dancing (I am assuming she is dressed up in a traditional Korean dance costume but she isn't actively dancing).

Did any of your students have a hard time with this test?

It's all in one ppt because...yea...

Content of PPT
1. Motivation/Intro slide (3 gifs)
2. Vocabulary (explained through gifs)
3. Hidden picture (from another user posted about a similar topic)
4. Run for it (instructions)
5. When I go to market/Memory Game (variation of a Korean game)

+ the printout you'll need for "Run for it" I only use one line at a time (so 4 sentences at at time). That way, there's enough of a sentence for at least 4 students to get up and switch seats.

Change it as you wish.

Just wanted to say THANK YOU for the Chase the Vocab game for this lesson.

My kids at my travel school enjoyed it so much that once we had finished, the entire class ran to the front of the room, rewrote their daily schedule so that "영어"was their only class for the rest of the day, and then divided themselves between barricading the exits and holding me hostage.

It was a wonderful moment for me as a teacher. THANK YOU! ^^

Thanks for giving me the idea to give a bit of background to this story. I found a shorter version that could be helpful to anyone interested in doing the same.

I have not used it yet, but I am confident that the students will be able to follow what happens. I also plan on doing a role-play as the textbook suggests, my classes love role-plays. They love wearing masks so I am either gonna search for my own, or use the ones downloadable from the textbook CD.

Connect 4 - PPT Game

-Red team vs. Blue team
-Students say a sentence to drop a coin.
(click the red or blue part of the block to make the corresponding coin drop)

-First team to connect 4 (in any direction) are the winners.

-Then, print the template and let the students play as a partner game.
