Post your lesson resources here for the new YBM book (blue with scarecrow).

And here's the PPTs for this lesson, taken off the CDROM.

Word search pdfs for Lesson 5. I made two different versions with the same words. Also attached are the answer pdfs.

Used this video and made the lyrics to go with it. Also, found this typhoon game on Waygook under one of the older textbook indexes. The key language is almost identical, so it works well.

The sentence structure is a little different from the book but here are some good videos of the book "What's the Time, Mr. Wolf?"

This is a song based on the book. First its just listening, then you can do listen and repeat to teach them the song.

This is a woman reading the story.

Thanks so much for the song, Carly.  My Ss will love it.  I just changed a couple things in the Korean lyrics that you provided like 침대 식사 시간이야 -> 잠을 잘 시간이야.

This is another chant on video that kids can listen and follow. Good to use prior to starting 1차시 if you haven't started.

basic low level writing worksheet. Practice spelling breakfast, lunch, dinner, bed, school, game. Also practice writing the question and answer to "what time is it?".
Fill in a few examples yourself with pencil before photocopying.

I found this board game under a different book. I made a few changes but it is not my game. It is about time (reading words and numbers). Good end of the lesson review game.

Here is a PPT practicing both phrases "It's .... O'clock" and "It's time for....". At the end of the PPT students can use the pictures to put both sentences together. For example "it's eight o'clock. It's time for breakfast". All slides came from PPT's other teachers have made. Hope it helps.

One thing that I have a problem with is that the book is making the assumption that the students can read time using an analog clock. To connect digital and analog clocks together, I made this PPT.

It includes counting (up to 10 and by 5's up to 55) and a mini quiz.
I plan to use this as an introduction before we watch the first video clip in period one.

My students are not very confident saying "it's time for _____" so this is a short practice activity that I made to help them.

First students will watch the video "A day in a Korean student's life"
Found here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bniwLF4hYHQ

Afterwards they are going to think of subtitles for the different scenes.
Meaningful but short practice.

Sentence attack: Speaking practice

Each pair gets a piece of paper.
The students start at the ends, say the sentence while moving forward to one another.
Once they reach the middle the students play rock, paper, scissors.
The winner continues on and the loser has to start back at the start.
First student to say all the sentences wins one point.
Repeat.

I have placed this as a whole group game in both 4th and 6th grade classes but this activity allows each student more practice saying the target sentences "It's time for...."

Can be adjusted to fit any vocabulary or sizes (pair, small groups or whole class)
