Artsy activity! My kids loved this!This is a flip book idea I actually took from a 4th grade book and adapted for this chapter.
Here is my example you can use as inspiration.Print out one copy of the attached flip book document below. The page with one person is folded in half to make the book. The page with two people should be cut in half, and the people's heads should be cut off. If the two bodies don't line up perfectly, then just layer them over each other and trim the sides; they should still staple into the book.
First, give the students the "book" page with the full person. Instruct them to draw their face/head on the body. Once all students are finished, have them think of three things they can do, and show them your sample book as inspiration. Each of the three bodies (the two headless ones, and the remainder of the body with the student's head on it) should represent the three activities. I had my students write "I can ________" at the bottom of each picture as well.
Once everyone was finished, students presented their abilities to the class and we practiced "Me, too!" for students who had similar abilities.
