Attached is my lesson plan, powerpoint, and bingo game. The warmup in the lesson plan is just to get the kids moving around so they're energized and paying attention. You give them four options, one for each corner, and whichever option they choose, they move to that corner. The lesson is to introduce "How to" language. The bingo game is to get them using the language...find someone who knows how to yadda-yadda. Students practice w/: Do you know how to yadda-yadda? Yes I do know how/No I don't know how, etc. Finally, if there is time left over, I would show them the Mr. Bean video shown in a post previous to this one.

Asking permission worksheet with more relaxed and informal ways to ask permission. Good for a class that is a little bit more advanced.

Here is an adapted version of the May I/Can I Battleship game to get them talking. My kids really enjoyed this lesson. Hope it helps!

The Mr. Bean video was a lifesaver. Thanks so much!
I ended my class by playing a How To edition of Mario Blast because my kids at that school tend to be pretty low level/low participation level.

I teach high level and intermediate level 2 grade. For each unit I do two separate lessons. This is my second lesson from Unit 3 for my high level students (for my intermediate level students i take out some slides and simplify the language). Its a mix of other people lessons (THANK YOU  ;D!) and my own. First is a quick warm up, then a review from previous lessons. For the activity I put the students into groups and give each group a picture (printed out the pictures from the ppt and cut them up). The students make new instructions using the pictures (the pictures are catered to my all girls middles school so may want to change them for boys!!). Then show the Mr. Bean clip and the groups answer the questions from the worksheet.
