Making a Monster
« on: April 16, 2009, 08:14:13 PM »
** From the JLP Resource Book **

Requires arts and crafts supplies, though could probably suffice with just drawing and coloring.
In Korea from 2005 - 2010, not in Korea now.  Please contact an active moderator for quick answers to your questions.

Grade 2-5 Monster Madness PPT
« Reply #1 on: June 09, 2011, 03:25:53 PM »
I created this PPT for use with descriptive adjectives and basic nouns.
1. Cover the vocabulary with the students, tall short ..etc etc. (The Vocab is in the *.ppt)
2. Ask for descriptive information about the various monsters in the PPT. (About 18 or so photos)
3. Have the students describe their own monsters.
4. Have the students break into teams of two, using the vocabulary, they should make their own monster with colored paper or construction paper.
5. Have each set of students describe their monsters, giving their monster a name. (This is a conversation based section of the LP)
6. Optional for more advanced students, have the other students describe the features of each Monster in Greater detail.
Materials needed
Construction | Colored Paper
Glue Sticks
Scissors
Colored Pencils | Markers
White Paper for descriptions
A bit of a happy presentation.

I updated the powerpoint to making a monster.  I am planning to use this for my club class.  I will start the class with this video: .  But you can always find a more appropriate one or one that you like.  Then I will go over vocabulary with the powerpoint that is uploaded.  The final activity includes making a monster.  Hope this helps.  Enjoy.
