I made a review game (paper airplanes) of L1-14. Since there's no review thread, I thought it's best I post it here. I got the original template from a 6th grade thread, thanks!

It's like a bomb game, except the students throw paper airplanes at the TV target and get the points they hit. It's a blast for all kids from 3rd to 6th.

Wrote this song with a friend of mine.  I was given a specific list of vocab to hit, so i tried to work in some weather references as well.  The kids seem to enjoy it.

Do You Put On Your Shoes First?

I wrote this song for this lesson. I think kids usually struggle with getting dressed for outside winter weather.

I'm trying to do holiday themed lessons for this last unit, so I remembered the perfect song for this lesson ... but it's in French.  If you don't mind teaching the kids a song without background music, though, I translated the lyrics and matched it to the lesson vocab.

Basically, each new verse you add something else that Santa Claus wears, and the kids act out putting it on while they sing.  Depends on your class, but my kids love anything to do with songs and actions, so I know this one will be a big hit.

The song is called "Quand le Pere Noel (vient me visiter)", or "When Santa Claus (Comes to Visit Me)".  Here's a link to the French version for the tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ynt7aO8CuGw

Here are English lyrics:

At Christmas Santa Claus
Comes to visit me
He comes down through the
chim-e-ney
He puts on his big black shoes
"Ho! Ho! Ho!"

At Christmas Santa Claus
Comes to visit me
He comes down through the
chim-e-ney
He puts on his big black shoes
He puts on his big red pants
"Ho! Ho! Ho!"

etc. (black shoes, red pants, red coat, black gloves, red hat)

Perfect song for this lesson:

I made a little thing with the lyrics and also a (very short) fill in the blank section with pictures that I very expertly drew in MS Paint :)

Drag and drop macro enabled paper doll for doing the activity with the kids in the first period of this chapter.
click on the clothing to "pick it up" click again to drop it.

Props for making this. I had students "help Jim get dressed". They dragged and dropped the clothes themselves and they loved it.

Instead of the game in the book, which I thought was a little too easy, I used this to make a telepathy game. Students had to choose one the items on the slide and place it on their own doll and then listen to my answer and then I drag and drop to dress Jim.

PPT includes Lesson 13 Review, Main Expressions & Telepathy Game :azn:

Hello! Here I made a board game using the Kung Fu Panda Template. Thank you to the creator! I created some game pieces for the students using pictures from the movie and I will laminate them. I plan to reuse this gameboard in other classes.

I hope this can help someone!

I HAVE DELETED THIS LESSON AS IT IS BEING MONIIZED AGAINST THE CONTENT CREATOR'S WISHES.

I very much welcome an open source system and am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with the sites decision to charge for content. I uploaded content with the understanding that it would be used freely by other teachers and do not agree with it being monetized without my consent. Due to this change I have felt it best to remove my work.

Thank you for all those who have shared in the past and I hope the site will retract its new policy and return to an open community-led system.

I changed  altoids17 's paper doll game to a dice game. I used it as a cooler, at the end of class. 10 mins max. I paired it with the matching game somewhere on this thread.

Paper people!

Students choose some clothes from the worksheet, color and cut them and glue them on their paper person. Then, write sentences about what clothes the person is wearing. "Put on your..."

Here's a fun wrap-up for this lesson.

Teams (or students) see two snowmen on a slide.  They compare what each snowman is wearing and write the different thing in their notebook or on a whiteboard, e.g. A: gloves. REMOVED

1. Worksheet - Colors and Clothing
Students draw an item of clothing and color it. Below the space is a place to write in "blue coat" (for example).

2. Class card game
Students play in pairs. Each pair gets a set of picture cards and color cards. When the teacher says, "red shoes" or some expression including the vocab, one student holds up the color card, and the other the picture card.

(To make it more fun, give the whole class points when everyone gets it right)
