Frozen Bomb Game
« on: March 21, 2014, 07:03:14 PM »
I have used many of the bomb game templates, so I figured it was time to give back.  I noticed nobody made a Frozen themed bomb game, and since my students are obsessed with the movie, I figured why not try my had at it.  So here is my Frozen Bomb game template. I teach at an all boys school so this should work for girls or boys.  It is pretty straight forward, I might add sound at a later date, but for now there aren't any sound clips.  But the gifs should all work.  If there are any errors let me know and I can adjust them as well.  This is the first ever bomb game I have made from scratch.

Additionally, I should note that I borrowed DanMan's score board template, and a few fonts from a Rufus template.  So thanks to both of them.

I hope you like it.

The letters aren't removing themselves once they've been selected for me. Is anyone else having this problem? I'm using MacPowerpoint 2011 if that makes a difference.

I don't know if it is a 2011 problem or not I made it on 2007 and tested in on the older versions of PPT that my school runs and it works fine.  If you don't click a number on the scoreboard it will jump to the next slide and that may be causing you not to get back the letters while letting them disappear.  Make sure you click the small snowflake at the top to get back to the letters.  They should disappear.  Other than that possibility, you can check to see if the triggers are still enabled in the animations.   But it should work okay.

Avoid using Powerpoints between Windows and Mac since that's asking for problems.

Thanks again! Just used this for my afterschool class. I am also not able to get the letters to disappear and the points to stay on the scoreboard. I am just using on Powerpoint 2010 on Windows in my class... I wonder if there is a way to enable same triggers from 07 to '10.

Ah a frozen game! I didn't even think to make one!

This has potential but as many said before, the triggers reset. I think it has to do with the scoreboard.

Honestly, I hate in-programmed score boards. I'd much rather draw on the board because its just faster for me. Especially if the game has a lot of + and - point moments.

I'm going to re-vamp this and take some ideas already used here. I will add sound too.
When it's ready, Ill post.

thanks for the idea.

Yeah I don't know why the triggers don't work in 2010. It isn't too hard to redo them, just a little time consuming.  The score board can easily be removed the one that I wanted to use was not working on my work computer so I had to shelve it.  As for the sound definitely add sound.  I didn't put any in cut down on the size of the upload, half of the time I don't have sound capabilities in my classrooms I didn't bother, but sound would always be a nice addition.

I messed up on the name of this PPT, sorry...i'm not a fan of the movie but the kids love it.
