Hello all,

I modified a BOMB game that I found on here called "Annoying Orange".  I changed it to incorporate material from Unit 1 and Unit 2 of the Jin H. Choi Middle School English 1 textbook. I primarily focus on the "Listen and Talk" dialogues and the vocab from the units.  I plan on using this as a midterm review activity next week. Feel free to modify as a few slides are personal to me (ex. Where is your teacher from? Spell your teacher's name? etc.). Enjoy!

Here's my unit 1 and unit 2 review:

1) I begin with a simple warm-up called secret message. Split the class into small 5-6 person teams. They form a line. Give one member of the team a tiny sheet of paper with a vocab word on it. He or she then has to whisper the message to another member, and the others do likewise all the way down the line. The last person in the line has to run to the board and write the secret message. The fastest team wins a point. I plan to play maybe 4 or 5 rounds.

2) Then, I will hand-out the review worksheets. Attached please find the worksheet that will accompany the class review for units 1 and 2. Basically I will display the worksheet template on the projector and then let the students shout out the answers. I give them copies to complete as well.

3) Finally, we play the annoying orange review BOMB. (See my previous reply to this thread.)

review of chapter one. Used a cool template I found on here using the Toy Story theme props to the creator.
I just tweaked it to include sentences and dialouges from unit one. My co-teacher wants me to follow up with the acitivties book as well..Will get round to making some more games later :D

I made a review game for Unit 4/5 Listen and Talks
It's a simple bomb game at around 25 questions.

You can make it up to 40 questions if  you need to add some, the extra bomb tiles I just grouped together and shrank into the corner.

I made a quick review of all the sayings in Units 6, 7, 8.
It's meant to just remind the kids of the key phrases before we played mollybloom's review game.

I used TOP (big bang) and Park Bom (2ne1) as my "spokespeople" for the review.

Unit 9 and 10.
Most of the stuff in this review is directly out of my previous lessons/games. Feel free to change some of the questions to suit your style.

The first 5 slides are a quick review of what we covered in units 9 and 10.
Then it moves into a Sonic bomb game (from daejeon's template)

Here are two more reviews for units 1-3.
First one is jeopardy, second is who wants to be a millionaire.

Review work sheet for Unit 9 + 10. First use the words and fill in the blanks. Next use the book to complete the dialogue. Note: Included are two idioms I taught my advanced first grade classes.
