Listen and Talk 1 - What do you think of it. I think the kids will enjoy this, I've used a few pop culture references.

**sorry I never post games, we never have time to play them in my classes**  :(

I tried to download your presentation, but had a lot of trouble.  If I saved it after downloading it (but without opening it), I was unable to open it and see what was in it.  Meanwhile, if I opened it (after downloading it) without saving it, I was unable to save it on my desktop.

Any idea what's up with it?

I tried to save it as a different format and have posted it again. I'm not sure what's up with it... I hope the change helps!

an activity I'm going to try for this lesson is to give an English book to each table (we have a  bunch in the classroom) and have them write down the title, author and an opinion in the format "I think it's ...." and why.
Then each table will present their book to the rest of the class.

Listen and Talk 2
I love comic books.

I just finished this. I really wasn't sure what kind of a game to play, so I went with an unscramble the sentence game using sentences from the book. To make it more interesting I added some of the Pass the Bomb features, so i'll throw around a stuffed fish I have while the bomb is ticking, and then the table stuck with it has to unscramble the sentence in 20 seconds.

The first ppt is just an intro to types of books and has a little conversation practice.
My class will go:
1. ppt intro
2. textbook
3. ppt game

I kinda feel like this is the 10th time I've posted a reply to this question this week....
Anyway, you can't download yet because you only have 3 posts. Once you hit 5 you will become "lesson plan worthy"
Only 2 more to go!!!

ok..thanks...

Just did an intro lesson to this unit. An acntivity/game I thought worked really well was this:

Write down all the vocab words all over a page, they can be upside down even backwards. Hand out a copy to pairs of students. have them each grab a different color pen ... then say the words out loud and the forst student to see the word said circles it. It's competitive and they seem to like it. You can also make it more challenging by just giving hints or saying the words in Korean.

Here is the ppt I used for this one. Not bad, but a bit challenging for my students.

I found this supplement in a book I have.  You can adapt it according to your students level and create a lesson that suits your teaching style.^^

My take on Lesson 7 Grade 2.

Used some material from the posters above.

Also used Kelly's "what do you think about music" prezi -
I changed the bands to have some less known genres to them (dubstep, jamband, hip hop (US) but then added some favorites. (note: I actually hate dubstep, but my favorite band is Phish -- so I wanted to get my students reaction ... so far... not good, ha)

I also use the idea to write about books. I give each table in my classroom a book and they have to describe it.
