Hi friends - this is my lesson for Listen and Talk 1 (jobs). It's a conglomeration of stuff that's been posted already with my own special brand of tweaking. Hope it's useful!

Here is a PPT I slapped together for the 'lecture' part of my class.  It goes along with the minesweeper game to prep the students for actually using the English since my kids are aren't very good ^^

Listen and Talk 2: Tell Me Why Lesson PPT to go along with Minesweeper game PPT

I used this textbook for my students and they seem to be very bored of it. I'm so glad there are so many ideas in this site. But I am still struggling to make my students talk to me in English.
Are there anyone with some suggestions?

Here is my idea.
3rd graders
Lesson 4: In the future

1)   Introduction (Power point slide) or video
2)   What does he/she/you want to be?
3)   Describe game
a.   Split class in 2 groups
b.   Make cards with occupation and one student have to speak in English and act out what the occupation is
c.   The rest of the group tries to guess the answer. The answer must be said in the form “I’d like to be a…..”

Thanks a lot guys I was really struggling with this chapter and you all gave me some good ideas. Especially the minesweeper game, I was wracking my brain trying to think of a fun activity for "Tell Me Why" and you saved my life!

So here's what I ended up using. I stole the hidden picture game (changed some pics) as well as the minesweeper game (changed some pics)

G3W10 is for "I'd like to be a scientist" and G3W11 is for "Tell me why".

In G3W10 there's a pic of my uncle who was an english premier league referee so you should probably delete that  8) 8)

Here are two "memory/concentration" warm ups. The first is matching the name and picture of occupations. The second requires students to match the occupation with a possible interest. Not sure who to give credit to for the template.
