Here's what I used for this unit.

The Script is for the 'Look and Listen' and 'Listen and Repeat' sections of the first lesson. It is provided by the book and I had a CT check the Korean.

Find the Star, Speaking and Reading Board Race Game, and What's Missing are self explanatory PPT games that my kids love and take between 5 and 10 minutes. They were originally on other threads but I've modified them. Kudos to the original creator!

The Occupations pictures were printed and used to play both "4 Corners" (students move around and when the teacher calls a "corner" the kids standing there are out) and the "Flyswatter Game" (team representatives stand in front of the board where the pics have been hung and when the teacher calls one it's a race to see which team can slap the right pic first [doesn't require flyswatters but it adds an element of fun as long as you make it clear that hitting one another ends the game]).

The writing lines are for extra practice since their handwriting is horrid.

The Youtube clips include The Singing Astronaut, Lucy at the Chocolate Factory, and some Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe.

Took some pics from k8yt27x to make it, so cheers to that :)

Here's an intro PPT with Korean translations to help with the lower level students. A lot of my 4th graders are lower level so translations like this really help a lot.

Also, I put emphasis on "he" and "she" since they seem to confuse the two a lot. I went around pointing at random students asking,
T: "Is he a boy or a girl?"
S: "A boy!"
T: "He or she?"
S: "He!"

Then to review, I had one student from each team come up and act out a job. I showed them a picture card and they had to act it out. But before the student could act, I had the class in unison ask, "Who is he/she?" If someone knew the answer, students raised their hand, I chose one and that student would say, "He/she is a (doctor/teacher/police officer/singer/dancer/cook)." They had fun with this. My students love coming up and acting silly. ^^

I'm peddling this game I made for each grade because the kids love it and it took so long to make...haha.  :P Enjoy!

It's just a multi-game. First is Guess the Picture (with points) and next is Guessing which picture will remain, with bombs and points.

So here's an activity I'm really excited to do! I did it last year with my 5th graders when they were learning about occupations and they loved it. I'm sure the same reaction will come from my 4th graders as well.

It's a reading and writing game for part 3 of the lesson. It's a mystery game where they must find who the thief is among 9 suspects.

Students will work in pairs and take turns finding and reading clues. Hide enough clues around the class beforehand. One student finds a clue and memorizes it then tells their partner who writes the corresponding information in the box provided. Have students switch roles after a few minutes. The thief is Kate.

Thanks to the original poster (dlhopes). I only just tweaked the original PPT to help walk you and your students through the process. I also added some Korean translations for the new vocab (i.e. detective, thief, and suspect) to make it easier for the kids to understand what kind of game this is.

Have fun!! ^^

This is for the read and write/sounds and letter section.

There's an activity at the end - Word Search. The students will share a pictionary and try to locate jobs or words that are associated with jobs (e.g. soccer ball = soccer player).

I also attached youtube clips to the PPT. One is a letter song and the other is a job song.

Sounds and Letters

After doing sounds and letters using the CD and listening to Phonics Chant,  I give each student one paper with 1-8. Numbers 1-6 I say the word, they circle. Numbers 7 and 8 they write the words - I used "Lunch' and 'ruler'.  Wrote the answers quickly on the board. Quick activity.

Here is a team game to practice reading and writing. My kids were split up in groups of four though you could do this as partners as well. Print out one copy of slides two and three and cut up the sentences and glue them scrambled up as demonstrated in the picture on slide 4.

When you are finished you'll have 12 different cards, each with a scrambled up sentence. I then put 6 of the cards on the floor at the front of the room and 6 in the back of the classroom.

Each student has a worksheet (print slide 3 for each student) then one person in the group gets up and grabs one of the cards and brings it to their group. They work together to solve and write the correct sentence and draw a corresponding picture on their worksheet. Once they finish that same student runs and exchanges it for a different card. First team to write all of the sentences and draw a picture for each is the winner.

Here's a game for spelling and learning the vocabulary words. The students are shown scrambled words and have to work in teams or partners to unscramble them. I'm having my kids write their answers on white boards and the first group to raise up their board gets a point.

Toriko bomb game I just finished making. As there's not a lot of content for this lesson on waygook right now, I'm sure it will be appreciated. Compressed for file size reasons -.-

created in ppt 2013. noted compatibility issues with 2010: scoreboard and numbers reset.
97-2008 loses music and sounds, but maintains the vanishing of question numbers with a functional scoreboard.  Just use the black or white board and write the numbers as students select them.

I have a main thread floating around with other templates that will be updated semi-regularly.

4.6.1 Who is she? Listening

MOTIVATION: Links for the videos above: People in my town, and Zombies in my town. They really liked the zombie one!

- REVIEW: Review of family (uses my own family, apart from uncle that's someone random, so please replace with your own family); NEW WORDS JOBS PICS. Got them to listen to the teacher say one of the key exps and put their hand(s) up and show the number of fingers for each one.
- LOOK AND LISTEN: OX questions; dialogue memory slides
-WHO IS HE/SHE ACTIVITY: Got Ss to listen and put a finger on each of the possible answers on their books. Then showed them the answer on the ppt and walked around the check they were right.
- LUCKY STAR GAME: 6 stars on the board each with a picture of each job on the back. Ss in groups of 5, cards from lesson 2 plus uncle card, each S gets one. Ss ask the question, teacher answers "(s)he is my ___" and that S stands up. Then, the teacher says "(s)he is a ___." and each S comes to the front to vote for a star. Stand in front of it, don't touch it. Show each one to the class and class says "yes" or "no" for it. Record group scores on the board.
- WRAP-UP: They listen to the teacher and shows the answer 1/2/3 on their fingers.

4.6.2 SPEAKING

- VIDEO: Slide to get Ss to guess what each character will say (mother/sister...); dialogue memory slides.

- slide explaining Talk! Talk!

- Find your partner game and game cards
Ss each have a secret card with mother/uncle/father and a job on. They walk around and ask each other "Who is (s)he?" If they are asked the wrong gender say "I don't know" and goodbye. If asked the right gender then answer. If the answer matches the question-asker's card then the pair come to the teacher, get a sticker on their hand: point. and get new cards, start again. Explained on ppt.

Here's a simple PPT for Period 1.

I start with the 'warm up' from the textbook so the Ss have a bit more of a head start.

I made it originally using photos of myself and my own family, but I've adapted this for you to insert your own photos.

It starts with the different jobs, then a pass the ball game so Ss can identify them on their own. (They just throw the ball to another classmate to answer the next slide  - no music but you could add some in if you wanted). With the last slide for this, you should add a photo of yourself for 'Teacher'.

Then we practise asking "Who is he/she?" using images of NT's own family.

I made slides to be printed out for a slap the board game for period 1 (Listening). It has a misspelled version of each word to confuse them so they really have to be on their toes. The idea is that it goes like this:

Divide class into 2 teams, and 2 students come to the board.

I write "He/She" on the board, and point to one of them. Then:

Students: Who is he/she?
Teacher: He/she is...........doctor/teacher/cook/singer/police officer/dancer.
*STUDENTS SLAP*
Student that slaps correct word gets point for their team.

Also edited an intro ppt to be for period 1 only, thanks to OG poster.

There is a nice song in the Pororo English songs series for this lesson.  It's not the exact target language (it's "I want to be a..."), but it's loads simpler than the Weatherall song, which is too hard for my students.  Pretty good overlap for the job titles.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbGWZGMC6CY

Edit: added lyrics handout for the Pororo song, 2 per A4 sheet.

Also, here is a quick and dirty hidden pictures PPT of cats dressed up / shopped / posing as some of the jobs.
