here is my hobbies lesson (PPT).  after the presentation i had the students work in groups to create a university club. after each group finished i had them present their club to the class then walk around and join at least one other club, stating why they wanted to join that club.

it was really fun.  i got a ton of "sexy boys" club, with reasons like, "i am handsome" etc.  i'm at all boys high school grade one, btw.

Here are a few powerpoints about hobbies and adjectives, intended for 5th and 6th graders but can be adapted for middle school students. These PPTs are updates from previous ones other people have posted.

Some hobbies activities I used for middle school grades 1-3.  They loved the Justin Bieber video: to open the class.  Some of the better students even got how funny it was that he thinks it's normal for kids to play golf!!

short ppt on strange hobbies (playing dead, appearing behind newscasters in television)

my lesson was:
1. showing the muhan dojeon ppt on hobbies (borrowed from another waygookers). good reaction.
2. showing strange hobbies ppt
3. playing the four questions hobby game (also borrowed from another waygooker). a little easy for most students but most classes got into it.
4. playing after school bingo (bingo game I made using the phrases from grades 1 and 3 of the Jumping Kids textbooks). the format of the bingo game followed the bingo game from eatyourkimchi.com. this game was nice because kids could review phrases from their textbooks while enjoying the game.

i will load all the ppts i used..but please note that only the strange hobbies ppt and the jumping kids bingo game are originals..the rest you can find in other posts.

forgot the bingo game:
used an online free bingo generator to generate 40 bingo sheets of the words in the .doc file.
