Lesson: "Giving a Talk" and "Fielding Questions"

This is the lesson that I'm most likely going to do for my Open Class. It's about "giving talks," and "fielding questions." The students won't actually be giving talks; rather, this lesson functions as a preliminary to future talks that they might give (it's a brief introductory course, you might say). Mostly, the students will be making questions and then answering them. This will set the stage for what I will have them do in the following week which is to talk about something they know a lot about (i.e. I will bring them one step closer to giving an actual talk).
Files included here and in the two posts below:
PPT file
Lesson Plan
Worksheets for the activity
Videos for the students
In case you're wondering how the Steve Jobs speech fits in with the previous slides on stage fright, my answer is that I wanted to show the students an example of what is arguably one of the best speeches of our time. I wanted to show Jobs's poise and confidence, while also imparting some inspiring words on the students right before the end of class.
You might not get to Steve Jobs. As always, you'll want to determine what makes the most sense for you.

These are the accompanying worksheets. Have the students write questions about them within two minutes and then have them pass on the pictures to the next student. Rinse and repeat.
Lesson plan is also included.

Included here are all four videos that you need to have in the same folder as the PowerPoint in order for the lesson to work properly.
