Halloween Bomb Game
« on: October 23, 2014, 06:43:51 PM »
Halloween is just around the corner, so I made this pumpkin themed bomb game.

NB: Share points means you take Team X's points + Team Y's points, add them together then divide them by 2.

Sorry for the lack of sound, I haven't figured out how to embed sound on this Korean Microsoft PPT.

Great graphics, but its not removing letters when I choose one of the cauldron options and go back to the main page. If I get all teams lose 100 point when I go back to the letters the one I chose is still there and the ones chosen before are are back. I want to play this game so badly, can that be fixed?

i just checked all the bonus tiles and cauldrons, all of them seem to be working fine.
If you add a slide or remove a slide it will cause the ppt to change the hyperlinks.
the only other reason i can think of that is causing your issue is that one of the triggers has been removed.

Cool Game!
That isn't a problem with the PPT file, it is a glitch that's only in PowerPoint 2010. You can download PowerPoint 2007 Viewer and you won't have that problem anymore.

There is a way to fix it for it to work in 2010, but it takes quite a bit of time. I explained it here.

And since this is my first post I'll contribute my Halloween PPT and the bomb game with the questions that relate to the lesson. I live and teach in China so you'll need to change the chinese to korean.

All I ask is that someone fix the bomb game so the letters disappear once they are clicked. I cannot do it on my mac, really hoping to have it for tuesday's class!

Thanks!

I want to use this one in my class, so I went ahead and added sound effects, changed some of the fonts and colors, and fixed the hyperlinking issue so that it will work with PowerPoint 2010 as well. Don't worry the font is embedded in the file and should work fine.

If you've made questions using the original template, just delete all the slides except H,O,R, and Y in this one and copy and paste the ones with your questions on them. For H, O, R, and Y you will need to copy and past the contents of your text boxes into the slides in the new file.

Thanks to the creator.

*EDIT*
Sorry, there were still some kinks to iron out. This new file should work without any problems. I also added a "Switch Points" slides to the game since the students were really hoping to see that.

Is anyone else having problems with some of the points slides just ending the presentation?

Great game and great sounds, but after clicking on the cauldrons, when I click on the hat again, I get kicked out of the game. Happens on several computers with different versions of Windows.

I can guess that this didn't happen while playing the game, but when you started the presentation from the cauldron slide to test it out. If you try starting from the Pumpkin slide and select either H, O, R, or Y to get to those cauldron slides it will work fine.
