The Definitive Jeopardy! PowerPoint
« on: October 28, 2014, 06:36:47 PM »
Jeopardy! - Download from Google Drive
Dawson Powell - Oct. 28th, 2014
*Dec. 1st - Fixed a hyperlink error*
*Dec. 13th - Embedded the audio files into the PowerPoint file.*
*Feb. 10th - Fixed an issue where the timer for Final Jeopardy played after the music.*
I know I can't really bring much excitement to Jeopardy and there are a billion templates floating around already, but I assure you this is as good as it gets. I have designed this file to faithfully reproduce the Jeopardy! game show as much as PowerPoint will allow (minus Alex Trebek). The graphics, fonts, sounds, music, and even the animations follow the format of the show, and a few extra ones spruce it up a bit more. Unfortunately, pictures can’t really show the difference between this and all the other Jeopardy! PPTs out there, so I sincerely encourage you to download and try this game out.

This game includes
  • All 3 rounds of the game (Jeopardy!, Double Jeopardy!, and Final Jeopardy!)
  • Daily Doubles (Regular, Video, and Audio)
  • Countdown Timers (5, 10, 20, 30, and 60 seconds)
  • Compatibility with all modern versions of PowerPoint, including 2010

It also has been designed to be extremely easy to edit, customize, and present. The use of text placeholders allow you to click and type instantly and custom layouts make it easy to change timers.

There is a Help section at the beginning of the file that will show you how to do everything to setup and play your game. I hope you find this file easy to use and your students find it fun in class.

Let me know of any troubles you have with the file, but I tested it very thoroughly, so you should expect smooth sailing. While fully compatible with PowerPoint 2007, I highly encourage you to use this file with PowerPoint 2010 or newer. 2007 animates some things a little slowly and doesn't support some animations.

The file has been set to Read-Only so that you do not overwrite the original file.

I hope you find this fun and useful!

Thanks! I have learned too much about PowerPoint as of late. If you are looking for another quiz style game, check out my Golden Bell and Golden Bell Fusion games. Also, I have just updated my old Mario Kart and Super Mario games if you'd like to play a bomb game. Plus, Connect Four is always fun.

Oops! You'll need to go to the Slide Show tab and click Custom Slide Shows and then click Custom Shows at the bottom. Find C4_400 and click edit. Delete slides 71 and 72 on the right and add slides 61 and 62. Then find C4_500, click edit and delete the slides and add slides 63 and 74.

I have uploaded a corrected file. Thanks for the heads up and sorry for the mistake.

For Final Jeopardy, the 30-second countdown bars start AFTER the 30-second music. I've tried messing around with Powerpoint but I can't seem to fix it. In the Animation panel, the bars are already set to play with the music. Not sure what the problem is.

Thanks for letting me know. I forgot a simple setting when I embedded the music file. I uploaded an updated version of the file. It should work properly now. Thanks for using my game!
