This is an activity I did recently at High School intermediate level. It was great fun. Lots of activity and reactions. However, judging by the quality of drawings, the level of imagination amongst students is, generally, not so good......... You'll need to do it yourself to find-out.

It worked well every time. I did it 15 times! They got right into it (I teach at a Boys High School). It worked well using the conditional sentences also. Some tended to spend too much time on designing the car and not describing and labelling although the winning car had to have all three elements. It was good fun.
